Oh my goodness. That is about the most impressive upper/lower I have seen. Did they do the mid face through the lower incision and did you have any dry eye or vision issues with the blephs. Beautiful result.
July 28, 2017
Yes mod face was done though lower incision and absolutely vision issues. Had dry eyes only at the beginning when there was swelling but all back to normal now. :)

Your PS is in a practice with many other doctors. How did you decide to use him and were you able to see many results of mid face procedure during consult? Since swelling lasts quite a few months did you see result photos that were a yr or more post op?

Wow!! You look amazing!!!! :-) Was there a second incision point (temple?) for the mid-face lift? I had read in dr's answers that mid-face lifts have a very long healing time and very significant swelling, which I have not seen at all in your pictures. Did your doctor say anything about that (such as he was going to use a tecnique la minimized that)? Do you happen to know where he ancored the cheeks when he lifted them? From the Q&A here it looks like there isn't consensus on how to approach this. I am pestering you with so many questions because I have been contemplating the exact same procedures, and also have flatter cheeks like you have.
May I ask, how did you choose to go with these procedures? Did the doctors try at first to sway you towards fillers, or even implants (regardless of whether they did or not exactly what you wanted? I am curious if doctors have the same prevailing phylosophy in the UK as here.
You trully look gorgeous. I am planning to show my mom your pictures as a proof that surgery is worth it (and that she should stop worrying !!! :-))

What I appreciate is this is about the only "progress" set of photos on mid-face lift on the real-self cite. I agree results are wonderful.

Healing Process Review

claudyr
Just wanted to add, the healing process was super easy! I had some swelling and lots of bruising but it had mostly faded by the end of the first week and was completely gone by the end of week 2. I took arnica from the day of the operation, iced every few hours for about 3 days (while I was awake) and slept propped up on pillows for the first 5 days to help with the swelling. There was never any pain, things just felt really tight, especially where my cheek had been re positioned. My eyelids, were numb, especially the lower ones for quite some time, my left lower eyelid is still a little numb in the corner, but is getting more feeling back everyday. I did have the lumps on the side of my eyes, but have been massaging them and the scars with bio oil every evening and they are almost gone completely. I can easily cover them with makeup so no one else notices anyway.

Can you share what all this cost?

£4300 :)

Wow!! You look super incredibly amazing!!!! :-) I take it the mid-face lift was done through a transconjunctival incision (through the eye)? From what I read on this forum, many American surgeons like to stay away from this procedure because of the risk for ectropion, risk of nerve injury and the prevalence of mediocre results. Or so they say. They obviously have not seen you :-))) I had also read that mid-face lifts have a very long healing time and very significant swelling, which I have not seen at all in your pictures. Do you happen to know where he ancored the cheeks when he lifted them? If it is not too much trouble, can you please add an 'after' image in which you are not smiling, silimar to your first, 'before' image (so I can be even more envious on your cheek lift :-))

Reading random Q&As on this forums and from many
With one exception (who offered me the lower bleph and a mid-face lift), I had the following discussion with all the doctors I saw in-person:
- My cheeks have fallen and I'm displeased with the fullness of my lower face (which I know, was not your issue).
- We loose volume as we age, so you are an excellent candidate for fillers to the cheeks.
- And what happens with the lower tissue, the one I've been complaining about?
- .....you just live with it (!!), or worse: volumizing the cheeks will lift it up.
- physically or optically? Hmmmm, well maybe physically, but who knows. Optically. Deffinitely optically.
Well, I have make-up for optic illusions :-))

And they also suggested filler, not a bleph, for the two back holes that sit under my eyes :-)). So money, bruising and swelling every year, instead of a one-time procedure.

In the beginning I was convinced that the margins on the fillers must be huge, but then I've read that it is more of the contrary. Anyway, it is something to be a surgeon but perform work which has the risks of a reversible injection, while you step into a room, in your work clothes, instead of facing the risks of causing
nerve dammage, tissues healing in a way that looks more like mutilation, massive scars, and crying patients on the verge of a nervous breakdown (or of leaving a vitriolic review online). I know I have long departed from the subject at hand :-)), but I am very curious what is the philosophy of doctors in the UK on surgery vs. fillers. Have you consulted with multiple surgeons, and did any of them discuss filler with you?

I would be ecstatic to get some answers from you, but at this point I think I should just be grateful if you've read till the end :-)))

you look great
July 28, 2017
How long were your lids tight? I'm two weeks post op and when I look down and blink, my eyes don't close all the way..
July 29, 2017
Maybe 2 or 3 weeks maximum. I only really noticed it when sleeping as one didn't close properly so my eyes felt dry.
July 29, 2017
So you can blink fine? No matter if you look up or down, your lids close? I also have bad dry eyes
July 30, 2017
Yeah I can blink fine and look in all direction with no problems. ;)

Ok thk you for answering...just hoping it will resolve
