I have always had a large chest, since nine years old. Grew up with tubular breasts and wanted to round them out, make them look "normal." Got a breast lift and augmentation June2002. My right breast never "dropped" so I went in for revision, still never healed properly as you can see in my profile picture.
This entire year my breasts feel ridiculous and heavy. Once I found this web-site I realized I wasn't the only one feeling this way! (thank you). I do not want to lose all of my fullness, but I am not about to go for smaller, then have to face this all over again when I'm in my 60's. Too much money to spend on elective surgery.
I have 275cc saline under the muscle, and am currently a 36d/dd. I was a small c prior to BA. REALLY HOPING to be a small c again. It is so tough making this decision not knowing the outcome, but I feel at this time in my life it is the right thing to do. I do not have the cc or rupture or anything many of you are dealing with, just the heaviness. Each of my boobs are 10" a piece. Anyone have similar measurements and where did you end up after?

I'm grateful you took the time to start your review and share your journey with us on RealSelf. You have a lot of experience and much to offer to the community. Hoping we can reciprocate and support you throughout the rest of your boob journey!

Gosh, it's almost like you share the same feelings as women getting a reduction. They heaviness is just too much. I'm glad you have plenty of breast tissue so you can get a nice lift and call it good. I'm sure it will take some time to get used to your new look, but I'm hoping you will feel liberated like many of the women getting breast implant reductions and/or removals feel. You've even had a revision, so you really do fit into many communities!

Please keep us posted as your surgery day draws near!

Hi there! Are you explanting with your lift? I had asymmetrical breasts with my left one being tuberous. I had implants for almost 12 years and explanted with a lift six months ago. Check out my review and feel free to message me anytime.

Do you tell anyone??

ItWasFunWhileItLasted
I am ten days out and still cannot decide how to handle the aftermath. I am obviously going to be smaller. My chest has always been a topic of conversation, even long before I had BA. Do I finally admit to BA? or do I just say I had a reduction?

Good question...think it depends on the people most likely to comment/ask. I think I'd go with reduction...people seem to accept that easier (not sure why)... and you can bypass the BA talk all together. If anyone gives you any crap, ignore them, lol.

Personally, it is non of their business, you don't have to tell them anything about surgery. You could say you found a really good bra!! And Besides this is your body that you have deal with and carry around, it doesn't benefit them in anyway except to discuss it when you are not around
