Hi I had a modified TT on 5-27-14 from day one I felt something wasn't right but I passe it off as swelling, on 8-2 I had Tumenescent liposuction of my abdomen still wasn't happy so 11-1 I was cut circumfrentialy to remove skin & fat at this point my lower ab was protruding a lot I stresse this to my ps & he said i had a failed muscle repair omg I'm ready to lose my mind now im full of scars & fat I can't win, he's fixings it for free but the fact is I have to go threw this whole process again! I'm burnt out :( he's doing this in his office I'm really scared I'll be on Xanax & Anastasia but very very nervious I've had both my revision lipo & skin removed this way & was fine but this is more frightening to me. I'm just praying I'll fina get the look I so desperately want and can be done having surgeries it's draining and this has been a long brutal 6 months. Anyone who has experienced this please any information or advice will be greatly appreciated

Hi! I had my surgery the day after yours and my stomach is not flat either. My ps said this was the flattest that I'm going to get. On one of my po apptment he told me to exercise my ab muscles and I did with no results. Now he's telling me that exercise wont help it. At 3mos po he told me that if I wasn't satisfied by 6 mos that he would do a revision but now I think that he's changing his mind abt the revision bc he said my stomach was just fine. So I know how you feel about being frustrated. My stomach seems to be getting bigger and bigger each month. I'm going to talk to him again to see what he says abt getting revised. I also had three children and he's telling me that, that is the reason why my stomach won't be flat bc my stomach muscles stretched out too much. I wish you the best with your revision. I will be glad when this is all resolved and Im getting tired of thinking abt the everyday.

Oh I know how you feel I'm sorry it's devastating I know you spend a lot of $ to be dissatisfied it's frustrating! I'm Beyond fed up I've spent 10 k so far and look worse I could cry! I am basically demanding a full TT when I see him monday all I've spent all the pain & frustration to have to be put to sleep again costing me another 1660.00 and to put myself & my family thru another recovery I'm beyond pissed! I don't believe it for a second having 3 kids that's as flat as your going to get that's a cop-out cause he dosn't want to own up to it. You paid for a procedure & he didn't satisfy you I would not let it rest maybe you just need liposuction & he can do that at a low cost for a revision I paid 750.00 & it looked good until my repair failed but I still wasn't satisfied cause I think my repair was weak and every day it got wider & wider I'm at a breaking point of depression this has been the longest six months. I would press him & see what he'll do for you, you deserve to be happy.

I am a year out and have it looks like my TT never happened. I have not gained weight .I didn't have the muscles tightened because I haven't had children and my Pc said I didn't need it done. He can't explain what has happened. I really like him too. At this point I am so unhappy with my results..it looks nothing like a tummy tuck..its round and ugly . What and who to see next?

Decided to be put asleep
so after several doctors advised against being only under local i spoke to my ps & he also agreed it would be better to be done in hospital under general anesthesia he was willing to do it for me in his office to spare me the cost but I'm just not willing to cut corners on this I want a flat tight abdomen so surgery is now 12-9-14 and another 1665.00 ugh I'm burnt out but more relaxed knowing I'll be asleep and my muscles will be fully relaxed for a better job of tightening This time I'm not pushing it I plan on doing nothing no exersize for a long time and hopefully this will be the last time fourth surgery in six months overwhelming

OMG! You've really been through a LOT of disappointments and unnecessary pain! Here's hoping that your next surgery will give you optimal results!

Pre surgery visit
saw surgeon today & got all of my question answered he does not know my my repair failed he did use dissolvable stitches the first time I will be getting a full abdominoplasty this time with permanent stitches & clips as well a one inch vertical scar not to happy about that but it's the best way to remove all extra skin I may have once my muscles are fully tight he has to go vertical under my belly button cause I have no extra skin above it to pull. It's costing me another 2000.00 for hospital & anesthesia I'm not looking forward to gojng thru this again I am so burnt out & so scared it will happen again no way am I pushing myself I'm going to take it slow for a while after this one. I'll be having surgery next week the 9th I'll hopefully look fantastic lol I'll post picks

My ps probably used the same stitches tht ur surgeon used. Why do they use disolvable stitches knowing tht they dont last. U nevr got a vertical scar wth ur first tt? Did u have a full or mini the first time? Bc i had a full wth vertical scar but its not seen even if im wearing a bikini bc i dnt wear a string biniki. I dnt mind havin the scar if my stomach is flat. I really need to convince my ps to do a revision bc lookin at my stomach is making me sick. I felt so huge today. I am tht someone is going to be happy. I wish u the best. I cant wait to c ur pics.

I'm cut horizontal in my bikini line but because I have no skin above my BB to pull down he has to cut vertical under my old BB to pull it down I don't care as long as it's covered when I wear a bikini. I hope. I feel for you it's devastating when your not happy I know my ps is very willing to make me happy but unfortunately it's still costing me $ . I had a modified TT full mr but my bb was floated and the amount of skin & fat removed wasn't enough in my opinion hopefully I'll get good results but I refuse to get my hopes up this time it's to disappointing. Trying to mentally prepare for this again is overwhelming. I so hope your ps helps you, you deserve to be happy & love your results when do you see him again

I sure hope this will be the final surgery for you. You have been through too much, for sure. Best wishes to a brave woman!

have you had the same surgeon do ALL your surgeries? I had dissolvable sutures for both by surgeries and they held up very well. This must have cost you a fortune in total but hopefully in the end it will all be worth it to you!

Don't worry about a short one inch vertical scar. I have one of those and it's barely noticeable. It's below the bikini line and when it's faded completely it will look no worse than a stretch mark. You've had more bad luck with your surgeries than most people I've "met" here on real self. Here's wishing the best of luck with your final surgery on Tuesday, next week.

Pas far as I know, your supposed to use permanent sutures for muscle repair. Poor obvious reasons you need something strong and sturdy that going to last. Disable sutures are for skin closures and other soft tissue that is lacerated in some fashion that just needs the helps bringing it together then it will seal. He should pay your expenses. This is clearly his fault.

I did get permanent stitches this time I'm ok with it as long as I stay FLAT! if something goes wrong this time then I'll definatly flip out I can't nor determine who's to blame for the failure yes I feel the repair was weak from day one I had a rounded lower abdomen but a lot of surgeons use dissolvable stitches now I wasn't fully aware and didn't do much research I now regret but as long as I'm flat & stay that way I'm happy recovery is a lot different this time for sure my only pain last time was lipo sites I feel a big difference in my muscles for sure

U have me wondering wht kind of sutures tht my ps used bc maybe mine came unloosened. How did u fnd out tht he used dissolvable sutures, did he tell u? Does he think tht, tht was the reason tht u need a repair?

December 20, 2014
Yes I asked & he said dissolvable and I asked why basically because they are esier well this is why we should take as much time as possible to research every detail and yes they dissolved before my abdomen healed why we don't really know and I also believe from what he said in so many words he didn't go deep enough with the repair maybe lazy or assuming I exersize regular idk but from what I read you want permanent results get permanent stitches so that is what I did he repaired me downward & also across so that could be why I'm in so much pain as long as I don't sneeze, caugh, laugh, or move lol I'm good

December 20, 2014
Also a good TT is all about the muscle repair if it's done poorly then results are poor I'f it's done correct then you have great results my surgery only took 2 hrs the first time w/lipo & toon 3.5 this time without lipo hmmm kinda sums it up
December 20, 2014
It sounds like i need a full tt again to get my muscles stitched up tight like urs bc i dont think my ps fid all of tht. I think he just dont want to do my surgery ovr again which is sad bc my stomach looks like urs before ur repair.

December 20, 2014
This is how you can tell for sure if it's your repair do a plank and if you stomach forms a hammock then your repair faild also when your lying flat forked it feel tight mine did not almost felt like jello and if that's the case explain to him it's a surgery issue he's been paid to do a job he hasn't done correctly

Wow you have had a long road. Â I am hoping you have a quick recovery after this last procedure. Â
Fingers crossed for you and I am sending happy thought your way.
