Dr Auturo Aguillon-Bouche and Renata are amazing and always go above & beyond to make me feel secure. I would trust him and his staff with my family and friend, they really do care about their patients , he has terrific bedside manner and a great sense of humor the surgery totally exceeded my expectations Thank you
I have been following this site for almost two years! First of all! All of you ladies are fantastic! When I started my "Mommy Make Over" 4 years ago I had no idea the changes it would make in my life. It has given me a whole new image of myself both physically and emotionally. Things I would never have done before I am now doing and having a good time! I owe this all to my Plastic Surgeon Arturo Aguillion. He is the best! I had considered having my procedures out side of states but to be honest with you I was too afraid! Also when you added everything up it really does not save you all that much money. Dr. Arturo has worked with me on the financial aspects of our "journey". He has also been very honest with me about what can be done and has always respected my views. Our journey started 4 years ago with the a tummy tuck. After seeing the difference it made in me I had a breast lift six months later. I have had small procedures done in between but nothing major. (lipo, veins in legs) In the past couple of months have made a decision to have some more work done. On November 7th I had a skin resection done of my back. I believe this is often referred to as the "Bra Roll". I had the procedure done in his office under local anesthesia. I believe the worse part is the shots! I was given two pain pills and one for anxiety. They always do the trick for me! Most of the time I slept! I do not remember much of the procedure or getting picked up. So for me there was very little pain. For me this procedure was worth it! I think as we age that area becomes so difficult to loose weight in. Today which is Friday of the same week; I have very little pain. I saw Dr. Arturo on Wednesday and he said everything looked fine. I will follow up with him in two weeks. I also want to mention that when I had my breast lift done Dr. Arturo did two follow up surgeries at no cost for "dog ears" I believe they are called! The next part of our journey to the new me will be to have a revision of my breast lift. He will do another skin resection this time on the front. I have always wanted to have my arms done but he really would like me to continue my work outs. He feels that they have improved and the surgery would not be the best decision at this time. I have spoken with him about a mini face lift at some point in the future to also be a part of my journey; maybe in the spring! I wish all of you ladies good luck and I hope my review helps someone. Please reach out to me if you have any questions! Updated on 22 Nov 2015: Will see Dr. Arturo on the 30th. Recovery was super easy with very little pain. So nice not to have the bulge this time of the year with my sweaters! Will speak with him about the revised breast lift and skin resection in the abdomen. So very pleased with the results. Will keep everyone posted as I start to plan the next procedure. By the time we have finished I feel as though I had my Mommy Make Over. Will re-post pictures after I see him on the 30th. Anyone considering a procedure in the North East I would highly recommend him.
I had my son at 27 years old, I am 5'5" and have always weighed around 125lbs except when pregnant. I gained 65lbs with him, and lost all the weigh without an issue but had extra lose skin on my abdomen along with weak muscles. My second baby came when I was 35 years old and weighed in at 9lbs via c-section. Lets just say my extra skin went from bad to worse....I do exercise 5-6 times per week. I run, participate in boot camp, and spin and would consider myself in good shape for 40 years old but as any one knows that has the extra skin it does not matter what you do, it stays. I went for three PS consultations and decided on my PS because of online reviews, along with feeling comfortable with him (and the competitive pricing helped). I did the typical preop testing, along with preparing my household. I went for surgery on 5/20/14, arrived at hospital at 8:45am, was in surgery around 10:30am, woke up around 4:00pm in recovery. Ended up leaving the hospital around 6pm with a lidocaine pump and two drains coming out of my stomach. I took Motrin 800mg every 8 hours and Percocet 5/325mg 1 tablet every 4 hours the first 4 days post op and never had any "pain". I set my alarm so I did not miss a dose. Was I sore and stiff, yes, but not in pain. I also took Senna 2 tablets every night post op to help promote a bowel movement. I had a C-section with my daughter and the pain was much worse than this. My children were taken care of by there father for 5 days after surgery so I could just relax. I did get up every two hours during the day and took a small walk inside my house, this helped with the stiffness and the swelling of my legs. I am at week one postop today, Lidoderm pump was taken out on Saturday, but two drains still remain. PS wants less than 25cc/day in drains before he removes them. I have been wearing my compression garment all the time except to wash. Swelling is still present in the lower abdomen along incision line and trunk of my body along with some slight bruising due to lipo. My incision is scabbing and looks great, the incision is soooo low, it is amazing. I am currently only taking Tylenol as needed (yesterday only took it at bedtime). My lower abdomen is still numb which is a strange thing but completely normal for this procedure. I can not wait to have these drains removed and transition to a lighter compression garment, the current medical grade one extends from under my breasts to my calves. It is difficult to find clothing that conceals the drains along with the compression garment, I have been wearing flowing sundresses. I would make sure you had a few of these to utilize. I followed up with my PS on post op day 3 and have another appointment this Friday. I absolutely love the results so far and can't wait to see what I look like on postop week 8 :) Updated on 28 May 2014: Still some swelling which is expected but love how low my incision is... Updated on 29 May 2014: Went to see my PS yesterday, as usual no waiting (love my PS), I was brought right into the massage room were my PS and his assistant removed both drains at once. It was definitely a strange feeling, but it did not hurt or burn as I had read in some other reviews. I then had my lymphatic massage done on my abdomen and lipo areas on flank and thighs. It felt so good. I was told by my PS and the massage therapist that I have minimal swelling at this point and to keep doing what I am doing. I do have some minor bruising on both hips from the lipo. The only soreness that is still present is from the lipo, no pain or soreness from TT. I continue to drink at least 64 ounces of water every day and walk (slowly of course) frequently. My doctor said my only restrictions at this point is I can't lift more that 20 pounds and no abdominal exercises. Can not wait to go buy a new bathing suit.... Updated on 29 May 2014: I am still wearing the medical grade compression garment. He told me that It would help the short term results but overall would not change the long term results, so I will continue to wear it as summer is right around the corner and I want the best results the quickest....was told and shown how to do some massage on abdomen to continue to help with swelling and told to do this twice a day. Also will start to massage incision starting next week, when post op 2 weeks. My PS uses silicone patches on the scars starting at week 3... Updated on 4 Jun 2014: Had alot of swelling above incision line day 10-14, seems to be improving slowly. PS did attempt to aspirate fluid but only was able to remove 10cc so he believes it is just swelling. Have been to two lymphatic massages and going for another one today. I am presently taking Arnica 5 pellets 3 times a day, drinking two protein powder/coconut water/flax seed/ginger/chia seed juices every day and I am still wearing my compression garment 23 hours a day. I have no pain just an occasional stretching sensation, I have been walking slowly 2 miles a day. I have a dog ear on the left side of my incision that will need to be corrected at some point. My belly bottom is my natural one so I would not have a vertical incision as well....so far I am extremely pleased with my results and of course can not wait for all the swelling to go down... Updated on 6 Jun 2014: This past two and a half weeks has flown by. Swelling is finally going down, I am using Arnica gel 3 times a day with a abdominal binder at present. Really have cut my activity down to nothing except absolutely necessary things. Maybe the swelling was because I was doing to much? Anyway feel 100% better which does not help because I feel great and want to return to my normal life but my body in told me I was not ready yet by swelling like a tick. My incision is healing well, I am massaging it twice a day. My PS instructed me to start using silicone patches on week three. I have one complaint, I don't love my belly button, BUT I do understand if my PS attempted to correct it I would have had a vertical scar which I am sure I would have hated more...overall love it and can not wait to be able to wear a two piece bathing suit this summer....:) Updated on 8 Jan 2015: Pooch over incision never improved, always looked like I had "man parts" when I tucked my shirt in, PS also agreed and I had lipo of the lower abdomen and mons in September, 2014. When I went back for my follow up neither my PS or I was completely satisfied with the results so he booked me for a revision which will be done 1/17/15, all of which is being done for free. My PS is supportive. Again this pooch may not seem bad to others but I went into the initial surgery with a flat stomach, just had extra skin. Will update after my surgery. I wish I had taken pictures before lipo as well but I did not so you could see the improvement but not a total fix. Updated on 17 Jan 2015: Visited my PS office this morning, took Xanax and Percocet one hour before procedure. Was also given some local anesthesia during the procedure. Felt some pain and pressure during procedure but nothing severe. I was reopened around 6 inches along old incision, PS removed fat which surprised him since lipo was done 3 months ago and restitched my lower abdominal muscles. I am not sure if there was something wrong with the muscles and plan on asking when i go for my follow up on Monday (medication had me foggy), one drain was placed, and I was "glued" back together. At present wearing abdominal binder and taking one Percocet every four hours. I would say I feel more burning than pain but it is not bad at all. Drain is draining bloody. Hopefully will post some picutres tomorrow. Relaxing tonight.
I'm very worried after reading a lot of reviews if the mini TT is the way to go :/ I work out 6 days a week but no matter how hard I do I can't seem to lose anything from my abdominal area, I'm assuming age plays a factor as well as menopause I went thru young at 39, all I want is a flat belly and less noticeable stretch marks Updated on 13 May 2014: Doing a cleanse by jillian michaels hope it works love to loose 5lbs before surgery, trying to stop stressing so much about the results of surgery : / more stressed that the mini TT will look good than the actual procedure Updated on 19 May 2014: Made & apt to speak w/surgeon feeling so much better he explained in detail what he will do and assured me I'll look great :) also he added in replacing my belly button to pull upper skin tight as well, so excited now just ready to get this over with and enjoy my new body 7 days to go! Updated on 26 May 2014: It's that time, so nervious just wishing for the best trying to stay positive and happy can't wait to just get this over with so I can sleep again it's consumed my every thaught for long enough I hope I'm over analyzing recovery & it won't be as bad as I'm anticipateing I'll post pics a soon as I can wish me luck :) Updated on 28 May 2014: Even with the swelling I am so happy no more strech marks I'm so grateful Updated on 29 May 2014: My healing buddy Updated on 30 May 2014: Day 3 phew it been rough now I know why they say it's hard I'm trying to stay positive but I am not very patcient and the swelling is brutal :( on the up side no strech marks I can't believe it I'm over whelmed with joy never thaught I'd see the day. I can't wait to see my final results. Now about these stupid drains omg I hate them can't wait for them to be out the binder my ps gave me was a full body suit no more like a ( death trap) I couldn't do it any more I had to change into the one I purchased on line so glad I did it's much more comfortable any little bit helps, I've been getting up & moving around some I definatly over did it I washed my hair and gave myself a sponge bath and changed out of the death trap and started to feel very sick & weak, but atleast I'm clean well over due. I'm anxious to feel normal and get back to some if my daily routine hopefully by next week, any advice in how to get thru this I'd be very grateful how to deal w/ the swelling such a bummer ok well that's it for now I snapped a quick pick before I almost passes out lol I'll post it Updated on 30 May 2014: Sorry for all the spelling issues well blame it on the drugs ;) Updated on 2 Jun 2014: Had a follow up today with PS over all went good I'm healing good and he took the pain bag off but still have drains :( hate the drains, I was feeling discouraged because I'm still in a lot of pain & can't do much I told him I've been reserching mini TT recovery & why am I taking so long he informed me I basically had a full TT he tightened my muscles all the way up when he floated my belly button WOW was I happy to hear that honestly I had no idea I Knew he was moving belly button to tighten upper skin but was pleasantly surprised to hear he also did the muscles, well the pain is now worth it, I just can't wait for swelling to go down so I can see more improvement. I also think the lipo sites are the most painful looking forward to not needing pain meds as much and to be able to leave the house can't really do much w/the drains also trying to just lay low so fluid slows down the faster it stops the sooner there out. Over all it's not to bad but for anyone considering this definatly need to prepare & make sure you have help I'm luck I've had lots of help so far. Will add more photos soon as swelling goes down some Updated on 9 Jun 2014: Day 13 finally had drains removed what a relief finally a hot shower I'm a new woman, unfortunately I'm so swollen I feel I may pop it's been a slow healing process but overall I feel good no more meds not even Tylenol I was told I can start a light exersize routine walking elliptical, I was surprised by this cause everything I've read on here said 4 weeks I guess every surgeon has their own ways of doing things. I would love to post pics but I am not to excited about how I'm looking just yet the swelling seems awful so I'm practicing patcients not easy I was so hoping for instant results I do see I'm flat so there is a light at the end of this long tunnel. From what I've read it's a day by day progress each day gets better. Hopefully the swelling will subside soon that seems to be my last obstacle Updated on 10 Jun 2014: Updated on 11 Jul 2014: Was able to run a full mile yesterday omg was it hard but felt great to get somewhat back to my old self. It's been a long process, healing is slowwwwww! Swelling sucks but I'm starting to see some results. I have my six week check up today hopefully he sais everything is where it should be. Updated on 13 Jul 2014: Having touch up lipo on 8/2 kinda nervious because my ps won't lipo stomach at time of surgery I have to have it done now, kinda aggravated cause it's a extra 700.00 and I just can't handle much more discomfort. All they give is a Xanax and pain pill wth! I'm stressed love to know if anyone has had this done after surgery & how it was. I'm told by the girls at his office it's not bad at all but still not to excited Updated on 2 Aug 2014: Had it done today was a piece of cake nothing as I expected was not painful at all I took 3 Xanax & 2 perkoset only took hour & a half no pain was very comfortable looks like 1500cc was removed couldn't be happier I already see a big change I so hope this is it kinda tired of this whole processe getting kinda draining I'll post pics later way to sleepy right now Updated on 30 Aug 2014: I wish I was more informed of the possibilities before having surgery the first time, or atleast took more time to reaserch. I'll be having yet another surgery scheduled for November 1st additional 1200.00 since liposuction I'm very pleased naked but once I put on any type of jeans I have a back muffin top! I just can't accept this I'm told there is no fat more lipo isn't the answer. What's happening is now the fat is removed I'm left with excess skin (really) wtf I can't catch a break! So I'll be getting extended abdominoplasty incision to the spine to remove excess skin my scar is now going to do a complete 360 not to excited about this, but I'm at a loss either I live w/skin or this is my only option :( so on top of this he performs this while I'm awake. Updated on 1 Nov 2014: well I did it hoping this is it I'll get the results I want, overall the surgery was easy actually less painful than liposuctioning. Feeling good but still numb hopefully it's not unbearable once it wears of ill post pics sides are swollen I'm sure it all is. Updated on 20 Nov 2014: so devistated my stomach has been hugely bloated very uncomfortable went to see my ps & he said my muscle repair failed! If I didn't have bad luck I'd have no luck, have to have surgery again the whole recovery process all over I'm just devistated if anyone has been thru this I'd love to know what to expect as for now I'm scheduled for 1-24-15 not happy I have to wait they are going to try and get me in sooner I hope. Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated Updated on 20 Nov 2014: failed muscle repair Updated on 8 Jan 2015: Full tt revision permanent stitches 12/16/14
Hi I had a modified TT on 5-27-14 from day one I felt something wasn't right but I passe it off as swelling, on 8-2 I had Tumenescent liposuction of my abdomen still wasn't happy so 11-1 I was cut circumfrentialy to remove skin & fat at this point my lower ab was protruding a lot I stresse this to my ps & he said i had a failed muscle repair omg I'm ready to lose my mind now im full of scars & fat I can't win, he's fixings it for free but the fact is I have to go threw this whole process again! I'm burnt out :( he's doing this in his office I'm really scared I'll be on Xanax & Anastasia but very very nervious I've had both my revision lipo & skin removed this way & was fine but this is more frightening to me. I'm just praying I'll fina get the look I so desperately want and can be done having surgeries it's draining and this has been a long brutal 6 months. Anyone who has experienced this please any information or advice will be greatly appreciated Updated on 24 Nov 2014: so after several doctors advised against being only under local i spoke to my ps & he also agreed it would be better to be done in hospital under general anesthesia he was willing to do it for me in his office to spare me the cost but I'm just not willing to cut corners on this I want a flat tight abdomen so surgery is now 12-9-14 and another 1665.00 ugh I'm burnt out but more relaxed knowing I'll be asleep and my muscles will be fully relaxed for a better job of tightening This time I'm not pushing it I plan on doing nothing no exersize for a long time and hopefully this will be the last time fourth surgery in six months overwhelming Updated on 1 Dec 2014: saw surgeon today & got all of my question answered he does not know my my repair failed he did use dissolvable stitches the first time I will be getting a full abdominoplasty this time with permanent stitches & clips as well a one inch vertical scar not to happy about that but it's the best way to remove all extra skin I may have once my muscles are fully tight he has to go vertical under my belly button cause I have no extra skin above it to pull. It's costing me another 2000.00 for hospital & anesthesia I'm not looking forward to gojng thru this again I am so burnt out & so scared it will happen again no way am I pushing myself I'm going to take it slow for a while after this one. I'll be having surgery next week the 9th I'll hopefully look fantastic lol I'll post picks Updated on 9 Dec 2014: I must be cursed arrived at hospital 7 am ready to go iv in gown on nurse looked at stomach notice I shaved bikini area & the wash I had to use for surgery cause major irritation :( surgery canceled omg I'm going to lose it now have to wait until next Tuesday so upset just want to cry! I blame his office they should of told me DO NOT SHAVE grrrr well nothing I can do but wait hopefully it will be worth all this aggravation in the end Updated on 17 Dec 2014: Updated on 17 Dec 2014: Updated on 19 Dec 2014: Feeling better just get very light headed if I'm up to long have been doing pretty much nothing won't chance risking repair Updated on 2 Jan 2015: So it's been 17 days I'm feeling good although I'm still slightly hunched ???? he must of really tightened them this time lol. I'm very pleased with how I'm looking but given my past disappointments remaining optimistic praying for the best no muscle issues overall I'm trying to compare this recovery to my first and they seem real different I think the first time the lipo in my back & flanks was what was so painful don't remember my muscle repair bothering me that is a clue maybe I wasn't tightened enough the first time or even at all oh well can't change it hopefully this is it "fingers crossed" as for working out I'm going to wait it's winter so it an wait I'm not willing to risk it period, trying to watch what I eat but grrr it's hard doing shakeology hopefully it's working other than that not to much to report. Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday & healing is a breeze Updated on 2 Jan 2015: Photod Updated on 28 Jan 2015: Hello ladies well I'm feeling good just a lot of swelling think it's due to being more active can't wait for it to end, other than that still a little sore I haven't started exersize yet I'm so nervious but I have to soon Im usually a runner but think I'll avoid the bouncing I have a bowflex treadclimber I'll start with that. I'm not crazy about my bb it looks closed I was told its due to having no fat so it won't give a sunken in look hell do a revision on it if I choose idk sick of being cut I'll give if some time & see. Other than that all is going good just hate the swelling it's depressing I really didn't swell until forth week. Hope everyone is healing & enjoying their new bodies Updated on 25 Feb 2015: Still dealing with swelling hoping it subsides soon Updated on 25 Feb 2015: 10 weeks po still swelling Updated on 14 Mar 2015: 5 months po Updated on 14 Mar 2015: 3 months po full TT revision feeling good gaining confidence still swelling but I try not to dwell on it since it has to run its course. I'm on vacation wore a bikini & felt good for the first time in a long time
