Procedure went very well. There was pain after anesthesia of course but I got through it. In about 3-4 days I decided to stop taking the narcotic pain medicine and only took Motrin. I was able to walk the next day but it was difficult due to pain. I would say I was up and able to walk comfortably in about 7-10 days. My job is strenuous so I needed about a month off before I could return to it because it requires heavy lifting. I did have drains for leakage and swelling and they stayed in about 10-11 days but this varies depending on how much/little your body drains. Wear your compression garments as Dr Markmann orders because you want the best results; although the garments are somewhat uncomfortable. HAPPY I DID IT!

Dr. Markmann is amazing from the beginning consultation to the date of surgery and post op check ups. He is very patient and answers all questions. He is very honest about what to expect and I respect him greatly for that. I had liposculpture of abdomen/waist/back. Let me just say that MY RESULTS ARE AMAZING!!!! Money well spent. He created curves where I had none. I had an overall nice shape but was always wishing for a smaller waistline or more hourglass figure. That's what I got. I would definitely recommend Dr. Markmann. I had a little setback after my procedure and had to go to the hospital. DR. MARKMANN MADE TIME OUT OF HIS BUSY SCHEDULE AND CAME TO THE HOSPITAL TO SEE ME!!! That really made my day. That just confirmed for me how professional and caring he is. He has an excellent bedside manner. He laughs, he jokes and just makes you feel so comfortable. I had been considering lipo for about 5 years but finally decided to just go for it after exercising and eating right still did not produce the results I wanted. I'm 36 years old with no children. I'm very physically active so I just couldn't understand why I couldn't lose the fat. I had stubborn "bra strap-fat" and belly fat that just wouldn't leave. I felt like my waist line appeared boxy. I explained what I wanted and he explained every pro & con imaginable so that I could make an informed decision. There was no pressure to commit. He was my only consultation and I am so glad I did it! I've seen my confidence grow just a tad more because I'm not busy trying to hide my muffin top. I'm proud of what I see in the mirror now. My clothes look great on me! I will continue to workout because I enjoy it and I want to look my best. Everytime I go in for a follow up he says "if you like what you see now, you're gonna really love your results in three months because you're still swollen". Four days after surgery was my first check up and when he unwrapped my bandages and I looked in the mirror I broke down in tears at how beautiful my results were!! I TOTALLY RECOMMEND DR. MARKMANN!!
