Hello everyone! I am getting slimlipo on my abdomen and love handles in 4 days and i am very excited!!

HISTORY:
I am 29 years old, 5' 0", 129 lbs, and 34 inch at largest part of my belly. I have always had a belly even when i played sports: gymnastics, volleyball, track etc... I was 95lbs for the longest time as a teenager and slowly started to gain weight. I grad college around 110 lbs. I'm 3 years into a relationship with my boyfriend and we both have gained an impressive amount of weight. Excuses aside we are both desperately trying to get back into shape. He is only exercising and eating healthier. I am exercising 3x a week cardio (elliptical, stairs), eating healthier (mostly), and getting slimlipo. For the past year or two i have steadily been exercising less and less until i stopped all together while in school for a one year accelerated program. Then i got a stressful night job that lead me to eating fast food 4 days a week, eek!

EXPECTED RESULTS:
These lipo results will mostly reflect the successfulness of the surgery as i just started this healthier lifestyle about a month ago. It is my understanding that the doctor can remove a sizable amount of subcutaneous fat, but i also have visceral fat deep around my organs that can only be removed by exercise and diet. I was told my stomach muscles are pushed out by the visceral fat and even after lipo i will never have a completely flat stomach.

I am expecting minimal brusing, scaring, inflammation, and soreness. I am expecting noticeable results, but not perfection as that is what i was told to expect by the doctor. I believe with healthy foods and exercise, 3 months after the surgery i will have a mostly flat stomach and the "bra fat rolls" will be less noticeable. ( i am not having slimlipo on the bra fat)

GOALS:
My goal is to get a flat stomach and an hourglass figure. I want to be able to wear a bikini again and have no rolls/potbelly when i put on a tight dress. I hope slimlipo will help me get closer to my goal!

Wish me luck!

I forgot to write in my first review that i have never been pregnant nor do i have any kids. Dr, Chasin said my belly is most likely genetic.

Preparatory work:
I woke up extra early and ate breakfast, dressed in all black with slip on shoes, took my antibiotic, and ran out the door. When i arrived i was greeted friendly even though i was an hour early. I peed in a cup, changed into a disposable bra, underwear, socks, and robe. I took a sedative, but refused the Vicodin as it can make you nauseous. They took my weight and blood pressure and answered any last minute questions. Then the doctor took many pre-op pics both with and without the marker outlines on my belly and love handles. Make sure you peed one more time before you start the lipo as the antibiotics can make u go a lot. Then we went into the OR room where they perform the lipo. Warm towels were places on my arms and legs for comfort as my abdomen and love handles were sterilized with Hibiclens soap. A very small needle inserted numbing solution under the skin where the incisions would be (that didn't hurt at all). Be prepared to be kinda soaked at this point with soap and numbing solution. Fresh towels were brought in to change out the wet ones. I was hooked up to a blood pressure cuff and finger heart rate reader throughout the procedure. Unfortunately the radio wasn't working so i couldn't select the music i liked.

Lipo part:
At this point Dr. Chasin walked in as i was fully prepped. He was very friendly and excited as he expected dramatic results for me. He talked to me throughout the whole procedure and explained what he was doing. First he injected the numbing solution which can pinch in sensitive areas around the ribs, pelvis, and belly button. Then he started breaking up the fat in an area and sucking it out. Normal laser slimlipo would involve a laser melting the fat and is quite painless and efficient. Unfortunately we discovered that my fat was very dense and the cannula tube had a very difficult time pushing through. Therefore i did not receive laser lipo. Instead they had to use a motorized device that used vibrations to break up the fat. This was far more painful in certain areas even with the numbing solution. I could hear crunching noises as Dr. Chasin worked hard to force the cannula through the fat. I was told to stand up, roll over to my sides, and sit up so he could isolate the specific areas of dense fat that were creating fat rolls on my tummy. I appreciate all the hard work Dr. Chasin and his staff did, but i was not prepared for the pain i felt. On a scale of 1-10 i was a 7 and near tears, but i toughed it out. I do believe Dr. Chasin's efforts have changed my life as i never would have lost that dense fat through exercise or diet.

Directly after lipo:
I was told to lay down in a room to relax. I was given water, fruit juice cartons, crackers, granola bars etc to regain my strength as i was feeling weak. Then i was supposed to change into my compression garment, review the post-op instructions and leave.....but i was feeling too dizzy, anxious ,and in too much pain to move much. I decided on my own to take 2 Vicodin to stop the pain because i started crying again. Big mistake. I was so nauseous i was escorted to the bathroom where i threw up 3 times and immediately felt better. I was still weak and a little dizzy (like after you donate blood.) I had absorbent pads put all over my body under the compression garment and i was good to go. It's almost 11pm at night and i haven't needed to take any tylenol. I even went for 2 short walks outside for the fresh air. The drainage seems mild to moderate; must less then at the doctor's office.

Conclusion:
Overall i am very happy i got liposuction. I do think i am the exception to the rule because most people have normal fat that can be removed with a laser. Also most people don't feel dizzy and nauseous after loosing body fluids like i do when i donate blood etc.

I look forward to seeing the results at my 1 week visit!! No pics to post yet.
