I am freaking out right now to the point that I want to reschedule or even cancel my surgery. I really like this Dr. I have met with him twice but I am an idiot and did not even ask to see before and after pics. I think he will do a good job but there are some bad reviews on the web for him and now I don't know what to think. There are good reviews too but not that many like some other docs have and the reviews are for boob jobs not facelifts. PLEASE someone reply.

If you can cancel - I would take a breather and maybe find someone who specializes in the face - I too have some remorse that I should have interviewed a few more before my surgery. I think he did a good job, but like you, the only reviews I saw here were for tummy tucks and boobs. My surgeon was highly recommended by my PCP who did have a facelift and other procedures done by him over the last 10 yrs or so. Several of his nurses also had their faces worked on by him. BUT if you are having panic attacks over this I would at least postpone and interview a few more. Sorry I can't help you more. Good Luck!

Thank you so much. I did cancel because I just did not know what method he was going to use. I did see some before and after photos and looked nice but I really just did to do more research and really feel comfortable with the whole office, not just the Dr. I plan on doing other peels or lasers and maybe botox so I really what to find a place that makes me super comfortable.

Oh good, now you can catch your breath and take your time - once the thought popped into my head, I just sort of let it snowball into setting up the surgery without really giving it much thought.

Hi - I always think you should go with your gut feelings. And it's better to b safe than sorry. If you do cancel, you can always reschedule later if after visiting other surgeons, you are then assured that this one is the best for you. Just my thoughts.

If you are having doubts cancel! Find someone who specializes in faces and interview past fl patients and definitely look at before and afters. Good luck!

I think you should cancel. Face lifts are complicated and have risks and it important that if you have a facelift you have chosen a surgeon that you feel extremely confident in.

I did end up cancelling. It was VERY awkward and super stressful this week. But all that panicking did have some benefits. I lost 3 lbs this week! I need to find something else to panic about. Also, I think I need to lose 20 lbs before I do this because I don't want to lose weight after I get a FL and then up wrinkled and saggy again.

So glad you cancelled. You did the right thing. There are so many facelift horror stories out there, so it is important to do a lot of research before choosing a surgeon. I agree about the weight too. I am planning to get a facelift also but need to weight first for the same reason you mentioned.
