I'm 30 yrs old, no children, 5'7", 140 lbs, BWD 13cm. I've been wanting breast augmentation since I was in high school. At they age of 30 I decided now or never. I could not be more happier with my decision. My PS is amazing and did a great job! Today is Thursday post-op day 1 and I'm already in love. By keeping myself medicated appropriately I feel great and it keeps me from having breakthrough pain. I don't get to see my new additions until my follow-up appt. on Monday but I know I made a good decision going with the 475cc Mentor MemoryGel Silicone Moderate Plus Profile. I did not want to go any smaller than 450cc and wasn't sure if 525cc would be to big so I settled in the middle. After all 50cc isn't a big difference so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed either way. I believe the size and shape will fit my body perfectly. Overall my BA experience has been great so far. If you have any questions please feel free to ask!

Post-Op Day 2

Not much to update.. Ive been on the couch since my surgery yesterday. I slept there last night with three pillows stacked behind me and a heating pad since it is impossible to lay completely flat and be able to get up. My boyfriend has been helping take care of me and helps me change my clothes as needed. Today I woke up more sore than yesterday which I predicted I would be. Usually anything second day is worse. I also probably pushed myself a little more than I should have yesterday by extending my arms further than I should have. It is just hard for me not to be independent. My right breast is a lot more sore than my left but I'm assuming that's because he did a slight lift on that one side. I have been taking my pain medication (Percocet 5/325mg) every 4 - 6 hours as prescribed along with my antibiotics 4 times a day. If I do not take my pain medication regularly I am in a good bit of pain. I'm hoping by tomorrow, post-op day 3 that I can back off of my pain meds a good bit. I'm the type of person that doesn't even like to take ibuprofen unless I absolutely have to so I can't wait to be able to back off my pain meds. I've been trying to get up as often as I can and just walk around the house. I'm a nurse so I know that it is important to get up and move as much as possible after any surgery to prevent blood clots. I'm still wrapped in my dressings and won't get to bathe or see my new boobies until my follow-up appt on Monday.

Post-Op Day 3

Still not much update since my last post. I go for my post-op appt tomorrow, Monday. My surgery was last Thursday. Tomorrow I'll finally get my post-op wrap off and get to see my new boobs for the first time. My PS decided to wrap me in 6" cast padding, 4" Kerlix on my incisions, & a flex master ace wrap. I have to leave this on until my follow-up tomorrow and I'll also be able to shower after. I cannot wait to get this wrap off and be in a post surg bra. The wrap is just annoying. Every PS is different but mine decided to use the wrap bc the compression helps with swelling and helps the implants to settle into place. Today I feel a lot better than the previous two days. I stopped my narcotic pain med yesterday and just started taking extra strength Tylenol for any discomfort. I would recommend asking your PS what you can take since I am not a Dr. & they may have different opinions. I just know that meds like Ibuprofen and Aleve are NSAID's which can increase your chances of bleeding. That's why I've switched to Tylenol since my narcotic meds also have Tylenol in them. It was my personal choice since I do not want to take narcotics any longer than I have to. Plus the discomfort now isn't enough for me to need the stronger narcotic pain meds. I'm still slightly sore mainly at my incision sites but other than that I feel like I'm healing well. I also still get the occasional shooting nerve pains. Like I said previously, my PS did a slight lift on my right side so I've had more discomfort on that side than on the left. I'm able to sit up more on my own now without a whole lot of pain. I'm still sleeping with multiple pillows behind me to keep me elevated and help aid me in getting up on my own. I've also been using a heating pad on my back since sleeping elevated puts more strain on your back and makes it sore. I started taking a stool softener as well to hopefully get my bowels moving again & help with the bloating. I immediately gained 5 lbs after surgery and feel like I'm 5 months pregnant bc of the bloating. My stomach also feels pretty hard. This is usually caused from the narcotics and fluid retention after surgery. From what I've read most everyone post BA has problems with bloating. I took a week off of work so I will be returning next Thursday. I've seen where some people go back to work 3-4 days after surgery. You have to factor in what type of work you do. My work is more strenuous but I feel like by Thursday I'll be feeling completely fine to go back. My only concern with work is lifting since I am a nurse and have to use body mechanics a lot. I have some pretty great coworkers that I know will help me when they can. I'm going to do my best to avoid over exerting myself but I know there will be times I'm not always going to be able to get someone else to help.

How did your post op appointment go yesterday? Can't wait to see your results. That's great you can just take Tylenol already! Sorry about the compression wrap but it sounds like it will be worth it. Feel free to join the April 2016 breast augmentation surgery forum for some post op support. Congratulations and thanks for your great updates!
