I had my breast done (implants ) in 2004 when he was in Huntington WV. I knew from the day of my consultation that he was the Dr. for me. He spent time explaining everything I needed to know and what I was in for afterwards. Here it is Sept 2018 and the breast still look amazing even after 2 babies. I’ve often thought about having them redone just because they say after 8-10 years they should be replaced. If I decided to do so I’ll make sure I go back to him. Thank you Dr. Yoak for all these years of making me feel beautiful!
I'm 30 yrs old, no children, 5'7", 140 lbs, BWD 13cm. I've been wanting breast augmentation since I was in high school. At they age of 30 I decided now or never. I could not be more happier with my decision. My PS is amazing and did a great job! Today is Thursday post-op day 1 and I'm already in love. By keeping myself medicated appropriately I feel great and it keeps me from having breakthrough pain. I don't get to see my new additions until my follow-up appt. on Monday but I know I made a good decision going with the 475cc Mentor MemoryGel Silicone Moderate Plus Profile. I did not want to go any smaller than 450cc and wasn't sure if 525cc would be to big so I settled in the middle. After all 50cc isn't a big difference so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed either way. I believe the size and shape will fit my body perfectly. Overall my BA experience has been great so far. If you have any questions please feel free to ask! Updated on 8 Apr 2016: Not much to update.. Ive been on the couch since my surgery yesterday. I slept there last night with three pillows stacked behind me and a heating pad since it is impossible to lay completely flat and be able to get up. My boyfriend has been helping take care of me and helps me change my clothes as needed. Today I woke up more sore than yesterday which I predicted I would be. Usually anything second day is worse. I also probably pushed myself a little more than I should have yesterday by extending my arms further than I should have. It is just hard for me not to be independent. My right breast is a lot more sore than my left but I'm assuming that's because he did a slight lift on that one side. I have been taking my pain medication (Percocet 5/325mg) every 4 - 6 hours as prescribed along with my antibiotics 4 times a day. If I do not take my pain medication regularly I am in a good bit of pain. I'm hoping by tomorrow, post-op day 3 that I can back off of my pain meds a good bit. I'm the type of person that doesn't even like to take ibuprofen unless I absolutely have to so I can't wait to be able to back off my pain meds. I've been trying to get up as often as I can and just walk around the house. I'm a nurse so I know that it is important to get up and move as much as possible after any surgery to prevent blood clots. I'm still wrapped in my dressings and won't get to bathe or see my new boobies until my follow-up appt on Monday. Updated on 10 Apr 2016: Still not much update since my last post. I go for my post-op appt tomorrow, Monday. My surgery was last Thursday. Tomorrow I'll finally get my post-op wrap off and get to see my new boobs for the first time. My PS decided to wrap me in 6" cast padding, 4" Kerlix on my incisions, & a flex master ace wrap. I have to leave this on until my follow-up tomorrow and I'll also be able to shower after. I cannot wait to get this wrap off and be in a post surg bra. The wrap is just annoying. Every PS is different but mine decided to use the wrap bc the compression helps with swelling and helps the implants to settle into place. Today I feel a lot better than the previous two days. I stopped my narcotic pain med yesterday and just started taking extra strength Tylenol for any discomfort. I would recommend asking your PS what you can take since I am not a Dr. & they may have different opinions. I just know that meds like Ibuprofen and Aleve are NSAID's which can increase your chances of bleeding. That's why I've switched to Tylenol since my narcotic meds also have Tylenol in them. It was my personal choice since I do not want to take narcotics any longer than I have to. Plus the discomfort now isn't enough for me to need the stronger narcotic pain meds. I'm still slightly sore mainly at my incision sites but other than that I feel like I'm healing well. I also still get the occasional shooting nerve pains. Like I said previously, my PS did a slight lift on my right side so I've had more discomfort on that side than on the left. I'm able to sit up more on my own now without a whole lot of pain. I'm still sleeping with multiple pillows behind me to keep me elevated and help aid me in getting up on my own. I've also been using a heating pad on my back since sleeping elevated puts more strain on your back and makes it sore. I started taking a stool softener as well to hopefully get my bowels moving again & help with the bloating. I immediately gained 5 lbs after surgery and feel like I'm 5 months pregnant bc of the bloating. My stomach also feels pretty hard. This is usually caused from the narcotics and fluid retention after surgery. From what I've read most everyone post BA has problems with bloating. I took a week off of work so I will be returning next Thursday. I've seen where some people go back to work 3-4 days after surgery. You have to factor in what type of work you do. My work is more strenuous but I feel like by Thursday I'll be feeling completely fine to go back. My only concern with work is lifting since I am a nurse and have to use body mechanics a lot. I have some pretty great coworkers that I know will help me when they can. I'm going to do my best to avoid over exerting myself but I know there will be times I'm not always going to be able to get someone else to help. Updated on 19 Apr 2016: Sorry it's been awhile since an update.. There just really hasn't been much to post about. I went for my first follow-up on day 4 post-op. My PS said everything looked good and put me in a post-op surgical bra and strap. Which I was to wear 25/7 and told me to start my massaging. After one day in the bra I switched to my own front closure sports bras I purchased because the post surg bra straps we're digging into my shoulders. I asked my nurse if this was ok and she said it was fine just no underwire. I again went for another appt on post-op day 8 my PS was stuck in surgery so my nurse said everything looked good and told me to continue my massaging along with some other massages I was to start. I also was allowed to only start wearing my strap at night. Day 11 post-op I again went for another appt and briefly saw my PS in between surgeries. I knew at this point there wasn't much to discuss since I was healing fine and doing my massages. The only thing he told me different was I could stop wearing my strap since my left boob that was higher was dropping well. They also removed the clear mesh bandages that were reinforcing my incisions. I will follow-up again in two weeks. Other than my follow-up appointments everything has been going well. I'm happy with my size and they are starting to take shape nicely. I've been doing my massages regularly as I was told to do each one 10 times a day for 10 seconds. As an update I got 475cc moderate profile under the muscle. I was a 34B previously and I'm measuring out to be a 34D currently. I do feel like I could have gone bigger but I am happy with my size. You can't really tell when I'm wearing loose clothing so that sometimes makes me think I should have gone bigger. But then I see myself naked our in tight shirts and think they are a good size. Originally I was going to go 525cc MP then changed my mind because I thought the bigger diameter would give me too much side boob. I sometimes wish I would of just went with 500cc but then I remind myself how little 25cc really is and that it really would of made no difference. Overall I am very happy with my size. I mainly wanted bigger breasts to fill out bikinis and sundresses and my size will definitely do that. I put on a bikini about a week post op and it was definitely too small. I had boob popping out everywhere. I will post some post-op pics so everyone can see where I'm at. Warning they are not pretty since I had a slight lift done on my right Brest as well. The lift was done because after my implants were place my right nipple sat about 1cm lower than the left. Overall my PS is amazing and did a great job! He gave me exactly what I asked for. Updated on 22 Apr 2016: I'm two weeks post-op from my inframammary 475cc Mentor moderate profile silicone breast augmentation. I also had a crescent lift of the right breast to correct asymmetry of my nipples. I'm 5'7" 140lbs. Previously I was a 34B and I'm now measuring out to be a 34D. I have been back to work for the last week as a nurse and have felt perfectly fine. I continue to sleep on my back or side and have had no problems. I'm wearing my own front closure and regular sports bras as I cannot wear underwire for 6 weeks. My swelling has gone done almost completely and my implants are dropping nicely. Originally I was going to go with 525cc but changed my mind to 475cc because I thought the wider diameter would give me to much side cleavage. I have to say at time I have "boob greed" and wish I would have just went with the 525cc because I feel I could have gone bigger and in loose clothes you can't really tell. But then I remind myself that 50cc doesn't make that much of a difference. I then also look at myself naked or put on a bikini and realize that my boobs look good and are big enough! I ordered some new bikinis today from VS so I am exited about that. I also need to go bra shopping but I'm holding out since I'm only two weeks out and I'm sure still have some changes to go through which could adjust my size but I'm doubting it will change from a 34D. I just don't want to spend a lot of money on new bras and then can't wear them so I'm sticking to sports bras for now. I'm getting antsy about wanting to get back to working out as I want to prepare for summer and get this body back in shape. I'll post updated pics. My incisions are healing very nicely. I've started wearing my silicone tape and putting bio oil and vitamin E on after I shower. I've also started taking a vitamin E supplement as well to help with the healing process. Updated on 29 Apr 2016: Just wanted to do a quick update. I don't feel like much has changed with my boobs over the last week. I'm just continuing to do my massages and using my bio oil, vitamin E oil, and cocoa butter lotion. Some exciting news!! I went to VS today because I'm so over wearing regular sports bras. I went in thinking I was a 34D by the measurements I did at home but when I tried on a 34D I could tell I was spilling out everywhere! I had one of the girls there help me and I couldn't believe when I put on a 34DD that I fit and felt so much more comfortable than a 34D. I bought 3 of their lounge bras, 2 regular and one push-up. They are no underwire of course. They are super soft and comfortable and definitely give me more support than a regular plain sports bra. I know I will continue to go through changes but I don't feel like my size is really going to change bra wise. I feel like my boobs have really settled pretty quickly. Of course I still have moments of wishing I went bigger. I'm definitely still happy that I have more than I ever had before. I also know I can play my boobs up or down when I want more or less cleavage. Updated on 18 May 2016: I haven't done an update since week 3 because I didn't feel like there was much going on. I am back to working out now. My PS gave me the ok at my 4 week post-op appointment, which was also my last follow-up appt. when exercising the only difference now is I definitely need more support from a sports bra than I ever used to. If I'm jogging I wear two sports bras to prevent bounce. I've also been using Scarguard MD on my incisions, which was recommended by my PS. I'm definitely a lot happier now with my size than I was before. I was having second thoughts about not going bigger. Now I think they are plenty big enough. I feel if I would of went any bigger I would even tot get tired of carrying all that extra boob around! I've had no pain or problems over the last few weeks. Sometimes I even forget I have implants bc they already feel like they've always been a part of me. I've attached some updated photos so you can see what they are looking like at 6 weeks! I still have a lot of healing to do but I am happy with them. I am now just a little over 4 months out with my surgery. I would do it again....but it would be discussed in the beginning that I want lypo on my sides and back fat. Mine look terrible while I feel my breasts are looking good. My scares are slowly fading and for the most part my swelling is over, I still swell under my arms. I am a hair dresser and I think this makes it worse. I had a hard place in my right breast that has mostly gone away. The Dr. told me this was some dead tissue, and it would take care of it's self. I was a 42 or 44 G depending on the bra. I was measured yesterday and bought a bra for the first time, I still don't feel I'm the size I will be at a year out. But I was measured at 43 D. I was always used to having large breasts and one of my fears was, that they would be too small. But I am happy with my size now. I do however wish I could lose some weight and maybe get rid of a little back fat. I hope this helps someone who is debating about having or not having the surgery. I feel great and am glad I had it.
