Philippine ethnic rhinoplasty three and a half years update!

Update!!! My nose has fully settled. I had a great trip to the Philippines. Hindsight, it wasn’t such a bad surgery, my body took it hard for the first few days, then it gets better. Just make sure you have a good nurse/assistance with you.

Dr Yappy, decided on a new nose for my face which wasn’t exactly what I wanted. It stays an ethnic nose, as I asked for but could have made it a little tiny bit smaller on the tip and increase my bridge a little, but he actually refused to do so saying I already had a bridge.

I like my nose today but it did wish I got what I asked for or went to Turkey with a Dr I was hesitating to go as well and recommended to my friend who ended up going and had exactly what she wanted and looks sooo great!

So now, I have a problem with 2 things:
• scaring
• difficulty breathing

There is a little scar at the base of my nostril, I noticed it was going to be a problem right When I woke up from surgery as that stitch was not cleanly closed. It isn’t very obvious, but it does bother me a bit. I can always hide it with some make up of course.

But most importantly ever since I did this nose job, I have had trouble breathing through my nose especially at night. Also my nose always feels clogged and makes a whistling noise at night. Still to this day.

Postponing again (April/May)

I recently turned 30 but still struggling to make a decision about my nose :(
Hopefully, April/May my spirits will be set right to take that step. Dr Yappy and team aren't easy to communicate with so will keep looking if things don't get smoother with Icon Clinic Philipines. Makes me seriously worried about aftercare...
Merry Christmas dolls!

Postponing my surgery from November to December due to lack of communication

Dr Yapjuangco and his team have been fairly slow at replying to me so it took a lot longer than expected for me to book my surgery.
So, instead of November, I'm trying to book January... but still waiting for confirmation of dates from his team. So far, I am not impressed with the communication, which is super annoying and makes me think twice about choosing him. Makes me concerned about how they deal with after-care!
However, communication with my second choice Dr Rocelyn Ann Gannaban from Plastic Surgery Philippines has been much better but I am a little afraid as the medical exams pre-surgery just seem so basic:
Hopefully, I will be able to bring my best friend to look after me during this trip and take a tour in the neighbouring islands when I feel good enough to travel.
I'll keep you in the loop.
M xoxo
