I never thought I was "the type" of person that would undergo plastic surgery (what is that type anyway? rich, vain?lol)
For the last few years I have thought about how nice it would be to have the excess skin from childbirth. After losing 40 lbs I

decided to undergo surgery. I felt that if I was going to have a flat tummy I should probably consider a breast lift, or my boobs would hang over my new tummy. haha I asked the surgeon's opinion about a breast lift and what he thought it could do for me. I had never considered implants, but he spent a lot of time showing me how just even small ones would give my breasts more fullness and also prolong the life of the mastopexy. However, he was not at ALL pushy, and left the decisions to me. My husband was very supportive and just wanted me to be happy with myself. His opinion is that I sacrificed my body to have our three wonderful children, and should be able to have things put back where they belonged, so to speak!
I am posting a few pics but if you want to see more "graphic" ones let me know. I wish I had been able to see more "fresh" post op surgeries for reassurance that everything was healing properly. My surgeon and his nurse said it all looked normal, but still...

Hi !
You look wonderful !!
I'm 19 days post op and my belly looked very similar to yours.
I am also a nurse and I asked the doc to show me the specimens, but he opted to show me pictures and tell me the weight of the liposuction and the actual skin and fat. I had the fat removed from my tummy of course, then my flanks and entire back had liposuctioned. He removed 13 lbs !!! YIKES
I love my new belly and back !!! HOORAY, no more sit ups !!!

Hi Kikibear,
Welcome to RealSelf! Thank you for sharing your story with us. Wow you look wonderful. How are you feeling now?
I know exactly what you mean about lifting the boobies. Before my surgery all I wanted was to have the boobs lifted from the waist and the tummy lifted from the Who Who!
The picture of what he cut off is crazy...I wish I would have thought to have my surgeon take a picture of my old muffin top after he removed it.

So I am now postopo day number 8. I was very nervous prior to my tummy tuck. My surgeon placed a pain pummp so I didnt wake up in excrutiating pain. My postop course has been full of annoyance such as postop urinary retention, nausea, inability to eat and take liquids< and then constipation. All of that has resolved and life is better. Pain was controlled w the pain pump and percocet which I took for three days. I am now on tylenol as needed.
I still have a drain in place and this should be removed tomorrow. Yay I can finally shower. What is really bothering me now is that i am not able to sleep comfortably. Any tips?? Ive tried sleeping on a chaise and also with several pillows under head and shoulders and knees. Any input would be appreciated.

I really want a fat transfer but am not thinking you did this.
