Provider Review
I’ve been on a 15+ year roller coaster with my nose. Dr. Jacono was my last stop and I couldn't make the wrong decision again. He has most certainly changed my life. Before you say it, I agree…that seems trivial to say, like how can a rhinoplasty be life changing? It was though, mentally especially, as I can stop beating myself up over making the wrong decisions earlier in this journey. A bit of history…over 15 years ago I sought out the help of an ENT surgeon (not Dr. Jacono) to assist with some long-standing breathing issues, not cosmetic in nature. The surgery was traumatic to say the least, cured none of my breathing issues, and left my septum weakened. I had always loved the way my nose looked, I just wanted to breathe better. Fast forward to about 8 years later and I was getting this puling sensation in my nose, it literally felt like someone was pushing my nose to the left. My nose began to visibly twist. It worsened over the years but I was so paralyzed with fear after my first surgery to consider another operation. About 3 and a half years ago I built up the courage and found a surgeon in Westchester who I had confidence in. He performed my second surgery. My nose looked great after, but slowly over the course of about 2 months began to twist back. We did a revision and was left with the same result, I was distraught. My nose also appeared to have shortened in length somehow. About a year ago I then met Dr. Jacono. I’ll preface this by saying if you want someone to tell you what you want to hear, he’s not your guy. He’s honest and blunt. He told me exactly what he could do and what he couldn’t. He also told me to go with my gut when deciding on a surgeon; well my gut picked him and that was exactly right. After 4 surgeries (final one by Jacono), my journey comes to an end. The physical discomfort is gone, and I feel a lot more confident. Not only is Dr. Jacono an incredibly talented surgeon, he is an outstanding human being. He fundraises and personally funds his own charity work helping children throughout the world with limited medical and financial resources receive surgeries. His commitment to helping others speaks volumes about who he is as a human being. Before I receive comments about his pricing…no I am not a wealthy person. I saved some money and financed the rest, it was worth every cent. I also received countless follow-up exams and care. I'll always be grateful to him, and I’d never trust my face to anyone again. I can’t say enough how grateful I am to Dr. Jacono. He’s quite simply the best.
