Best Decision of my Life :)

I gained a lot of weight (25kg or 55lbs) very fast due to an illness and it stretched my skin around my stomach and sides in a way that I could never fix through diet and exercise alone. After losing the weight - while the rest of my body was fit and toned - I still had really bad loose skin all around my gut and sides. It really looked horrible. I would never take my top off in public and no one knew what was underneath my shirt because I wouldn't show them. I carried so much shame about it - to me, it felt like a disability. During a vacation in Bali I went to see cosmetic surgeon Dr. I Made Suka Adnyana at BIMC Nusa Dua (an amazing five star hospital). He said he could help with abdominoplasty and liposuction. So I booked the treatment for 10 weeks later and did heaps of cardio and ate super lean to loose as much fat as I could before surgery. I arrived to surgery super excited and couldn't wait. The hospital in Bali was incredible, amazing staff and amazing facilities - even better than Australian hospitals. The surgery took 5 hours and the Doctor said he removed 900g of skin and no fat. I recovered in a resort nearby the hospital which was a pretty nice way to recover, albeit I was still miserable. Recovery was of course rough, for the first 10 - 12 days I couldn't do much and was stuck in a forward bend. I hired an electric bed to help me get up and down from bed cause ab strength is zero and I had a nurse look after me. I used pain killers for the first week or so but then didn't really need them. It's now 10 weeks since I had the surgery (see after pic taken yesterday) and I actually can't even believe how good the results are. I have completely forgotten the guy who had the loose skin and all that shame. Now my confidence is rock solid. I'll take my top of anywhere. It's funny when you lose something you hated so much, you just never look back. I have to credit Dr. I Made Suka Adnyana for doing such an incredible job. Him and his team at BIMC Nusa Dua really impressed me - I actually think I've had some of the best results I've seen and I have got them to thank for that. I have a scar, it isn't so bad - but I think I'll get it covered up with a tattoo down the track. For now, it fits under my bathers so it's not a problem and I'd take a scar over loose skin any day. This has to have been the best decision of my life, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks Dr. I Made Suka Adnyana and team at BIMC Nusa Dua!
