It went so smoothly. No complications or issues followed

Mr Whitworth was fantastic - from the initial consultation to the last post-op check-up! I guess my situation was a little less common - Male, 26 and having a tummy tuck. I was always burdened with loose skin around my stomach, and have wanted this surgery for over 10 years. After some careful research and speaking to friends, I was referred to Mr Whitworth at Nuffield hospital in Bournemouth. I was able to get a consultation pretty quickly (around 3-4 weeks) which was amazing as lockdown was causing delays everywhere. Ian was straight to the point and gave a thorough assessment. I was in and out within 20 minutes and excited for the surgery. My surgery took place about 5 weeks after the consultation as Mr Whitworth had some availability. This was fantastic as again, the pandemic was causing delays with some previous surgeons stating 3-6 months of waiting. When operation day came round, I felt more excited than nervous as I wanted this for so long. Ian came and put me at ease in the morning and I was having surgery with an hour of seeing him. My care at Nuffield Bournemouth was second to none - honestly the staff were incredible and the food...the food was INSANE! Loved being there and the process was so smooth. No complications at all from the surgery. POST-OP: Again, it went so smoothly. No complications or issues followed. I was having regular catch ups with the aftercare nurse who was redressing my tuck and she was amazing. She said the incision was healing perfectly and was one of the best she had seen. Within two weeks, the dressings were removed permanently and I just needed to rub E45 cream into the incision regularly to keep it moisturized. The tuck has healed great so far, and I now use bio-oil to reduce the scarring. My friend had a tummy tuck with Mr Whitworth 5 years ago and her scar is barely noticeable, so I know it will fade well over time. There is no pain at all, only numbness around the lower stomach. This is normal and is slowly coming back - but its not even noticeable! My overall experience was fantastic and I couldn't be more grateful to Ian. The job he has done is amazing and I am so glad I chose him. He has done a stellar job and it couldn't have gone better. You can tell he is very experienced and knows what he is doing - he is straight to the point and wastes no time.
