I've struggled with this squishy tire around my midsection for years. Even when I weighed less, when people told me I looked sick, I still had it. So I decided to try coolsculpting. I just had my procedure yesterday evening so its too early to tell if I'll be happy with it or not. I had one treatment on each flank and one treatment on both sides of my lower abdomen. The cold was only slightly noticeable. I was able to watch Netflix while the treatment took place and that was nice. The most uncomfortable part was the massage after the freeze. It was far from excruciating but kind of like rubbing a bruise. I didn't see the "frozen stick of butter" people describe after the applicators were removed. They were more like speed bumps. I'm writing this review the morning after my procedure. I have mild soreness on all treated areas and bruising that ranges from barely noticeable to pretty bad. The bruising on my abdomen is very slight, kind of looks like a mild sunburn. The bruising on my flanks looks pretty bad but it doesn't hurt. I've added pictures showing me the morning before my treatment, during my treatment, immediately after treatment and the bruising this morning, the day after the treatment. I'll post another update in a few weeks when I hope to see some results.

Four weeks after first coolsculpting treatment and feeling discouraged.

I had my first coolsculpting treatment four weeks ago today. A total of four applicators were used, one on each side of my lower abdomen and one on each flank, for 35 minutes each. From what I've read, most people can see results by 4 weeks after the procedure. I don't see any change whatsoever and I'm feeling extremely discouraged. I've added a picture showing me on the morning of the procedure vs today. :(

You look visibly, MUCH smaller in the second photo!!!! You prob need more than 1 session, I believe 2 is the minimum they suggest.

Thank you for that. But I promise, I'm exactly the same size. My waist hasn't decreased at all and my pants are still snug, just as they were before. I think what you're seeing is the difference in distance from the camera.

I agree that you definitely look smaller. I understand your explanation of different distance from the camera. I know that can be a huge factor, but your skin looks tighter in my opinion. So, you may be the same size but the skin is tightening which give the appearance of being slimmer. Its hard to say without seeing it in person. I would think a second session would improve the results, but I'm definitely no expert.
Do you smoke or drink alcohol? Those are factors that could probably affect your results. Just a thought.

Nope. I don't smoke and rarely drink alcohol. I'm just hoping I start seeing results within the next two months. :( I have these hideous bags on my sides that were there before and still remain.

I saw your post and I’ve posted asking what could be better between coolsculpting and sculpsure. I’ve visited a doctor and he said that I should do 3 treatments in 5 months ( $ 7K ). Sorry, for 7K I fly in Brazil in business class for a liposuction in one of that plastic surgery hospitals that appears in the one of that real housewife’s shows...

I had my six week follow-up appointment yesterday and I'm feeling very discouraged. I see a difference but just barely and no where near a $2,100.00 difference. I know I shouldn't expect optimal results for another six weeks but I find it difficult to believe the change is going to speed up enough between now and then for me to see a significant change. I certainly didn't expect results like lipo provides but from so many of the pictures I've seen, I was hoping for better than this. :(

I can see a huge difference! The thing is that we all have high expectations and want immediate results. Maybe this is not what you expected, but there's a huge change. The results will never be like a lipo, but it's evident that the treatment is working for you.

I have my three month follow-up in two weeks. They're going to evaluate me for another cycle during that appointment.

There are definitely results. I’m hoping to get where you are. I’m 6 days in. Pain started yesterday. Fingers crossed.

I sure did. And I do see some difference now but it's very subtle. Nothing anyone else would notice. It's either that my body isn't very responsive or I need multiple treatments. I have my 3 month follow up next week so I'll see what they say.
