I am 4 days post surgery and doing well. The only weird thing I am experiencing is something that feels like a cell phone vibrating in my stomach. I've read that this is either due to a certain thing I ate or my stomach muscles healing. It doesn't hurt so I'm not concerned. I was surprised how much pain I WASNT in. After I woke up I did experience pressure in my chest like I needed to burp but pain was minimal. They had me up and walking within a few hours! Overall a good experience and I wish I didn't wait so long

I am with you, wish I had done this 20 years ago and not wasted those years with the constant yo-yo dieting and body image issues. But...we are on our way to the rest of our lives losing and maintaining this time! I had the gurgling too but it went away after 3-4 days. Now only occasionally after I drink something. It's air and gases working their way out. So glad you are doing well. I hosted my annual Eve Eve party last night and even with all the amazing foods around me I sipped watered down diet cranberry juice and didn't feel deprived at all. Hooray!

Thank you for the info on my "buzzing belly". Ha ha, it is actually gone now thank goodness but it was the weirdest sensation I've felt in forever. When did u have ur surgery?

Hi MsNParker & Reese7474 and Merry Christmas! These new tummies are the best present you probably have received or given yourself in a long time right? Well i'm up at the crack of dawn on the internet cuz I don't have any more babies waking me up at the crack of dawn to see what Santa brought them. My baby is 23 now soon to be 24 so until one of them bring me grand-babies I don't know what to do with myself first thing on xmas morning lol. I guess I will just spread the love and cheer here. I wanted to tell you that 7 months out my tummy still gurgling, I hope it goes away soon, no pain just annoyance. I have not had anyone respond who is further along than I to tell me if theirs has gone away or not. That is something I would like to see what the majority experience 6 to 12 months out. Well enjoy your holiday's and have holiday flavored drinks and broth to celebrate right long with others.

I hear you! I'm a week today!!!! What kind of diet are you on? I'm on full liquid so they are letting me have pudding and cream soups and yogurt and things like that. I've found I have a nice variety in the soups alone. So far since my first comment I haven't had any more buzzing belly.... Hope you enjoyed your holiday!!!!

Wow, 7 months out!!! That's wonderful! How much weight have you lost? I'm not weighing until my post op appt on Jan 2. I'm trying to stick with the same scale. So, since you are now a pro, what has been your toughest obstacle of worst problem the past 7 months?

Hi Reese, I wish I was a pro at this. Embarrassed to say but I still worry about weight re-gain often so it makes me be very hard on myself. I still weigh myself every morning first thing without fail. For me this HAS to be the last time. I'm getting too old for this yo-yo dieting crap so this is it! I guess that's why I monitor myself so. My highest weight was 248 pounds at 5'2 -5'3 on a good day. Surgery day i weight 225 today I'm 155 pounds. There have been a lot of challenges for me from being very sick feeling in my tummy to car wrecks, N1H1, mugged etc this year during my surgery. I kept pushing though even with the Doctor not letting me workout since my car wreck. The weight is still coming off. I limit my free meals to once in awhile not a whole day just a free meal then i get right back to my routine. Typically my fun meal is when I go out or during that time of month. Im too afraid of undoing all that I have done here to blow it on food. I have chosen not to let food be my master any longer. It took me a long time a bought 4.5 - 5 months to learn to stop over eating and to recognize my full feeling. I would almost throw-up after every meal because i would over eat. It is so much better now. I only do that every now and again if I wait too long to eat and I'm starving or if something taste really good that i have not had since surgery and the old Lisa comes back and want to keep eating even though I"m not hungry. I will tell you even with all the challenges this has been the best thing I could have every done. So much so I did encourage my two daughters to get it done also. So, now we are all sleeved and going through it together. my youngest just had here's done in Mexio on 12/13/13. So she is just about where you are. If you look at my profile or some of my post it will give you my Youtube and I talk more about my journey there. Well wish and happy holidays! bodyrock On! Lisa
