Looking good girlfriend!!! It's comforting to know that many years later we will still have a flat tummy with maintenance of course. Thanks for the updated pics. Take care!
Outstanding! Thanks for sharing...it's very motivating and inspirational. You are so kind and helpful. Thanks for being there! :-DSuzy
Hi I'm 9 days post op and taking it as easy as possible , having seen your results iam so impressed you look amazing I'm hoping for the same kind of results in time thanks for sharing your story x
You look amazing! So glad you're still so happy 4 years later. And your pics are fantastic!!!
I'm sure I'm not the only one on this but I am curious to see what the scar looks like after 4 years.
Yes would live to see it. I have those muscles up top under my breast too I think from muscle repair? Not sure how I feel about it yet. I just want to feel normal :( I went on a plane just a few weeks ago messed me up I have had to juice for a week starting to feel better.
Oh I will post a scar picture this weekend, but it's totally flat and faded:)  If you look at my picture with my tattoo you will see how faint the scar is.  You get a bit of a shot of it in that picture.
That is so positive to hear. Thank you. Sometimes the idea of that large scar is terrifying.
When I was ready to get my TT done, I thought about the scar and figured 'Well, there go my dreams of being a supermodel...LMAO" (I'm 40, 5'8" and a plus size....pretty sure that wasn't gonna happen..lol). Everyone scars differently-I already knew that my skin scars a little more easily than others, but the scar was nothing in comparison to the flatness of my tummy when I look down now. And look how well Kimmers25 turned out! Just take care of it-I swear on my life by Bio Oil-I use it even on my face, and I can see already that the scars around my belly button and on my breasts (I also had a BR/BL) in spots are starting to really fade-and its only been 7 1/2 weeks. I put it on 2 x a day. Even on my face, Bio Oil makes it smoother and keeps it really soft-I have dry skin, so that's a plus. I would bet there's a lot of women on here who use Bio Oil-its amazing for scars! You have to decide if you would rather live with the scar, or live with the tummy. Even though I am still swollen, I tried on a new bikini from Victoria's Secret last night and the bottoms completely hid the entire scar-the PS really does put it in a good spot. And I could actually see the bikini's bottoms because my tummy wasn't in the way-totally worth the scar! Even my husband is used to it. And if you do spray tanning at all, which I do when I go away somewhere, it really helps to blend it all in as well. You just have to take care of the scar for a long time, regularly use something like Bio Oil, or Vitamin E, etc. After the surgery, if it seems like the scar is a big ridge (which mine seemed like)...its usually ok- it just needs time to flatten out. You can ask for a scar gel called Kelo Cote-its to prevent hypertrophic or keloid scars form forming. We make a joke out of my scar (me and my husband)...he teases me about looking like Frankenstein...lmao. I have a good sense of humour about it, so it doesn't bother me-that was my way of bending my brain around that huge scar. That, and the fact that it wasn't going to end my supermodel career that I never had.....lmao
Thanks Bragurl for the tip on Bio oil. I have seen others rave about it so it will now go on my post-op shopping list. I think I'd rather live with the scar knowing it will fade with time. Especially if I take care of it like you say. I've wanted the tummy gone ever since I had my first child almost 8 years ago. If I keep the tummy I know I'll never been happy with my body. Well, maybe when I'm 70 or 80 and I don't care anymore but that's at least 30 years away :-)
Just make sure you are done having kids and all that-the PS will ask you about that anyway, but I was talking to someone just yesterday about a friend of theirs who had thought she had all her children and got a breast reduction-then BAM! ...she got a "surprise" pregancy and now her breasts are stretched out and large again...so make sure you are done! lol
My husband got "fixed" a couple of years ago so we are definitely done ;-)
LMAO-Both me AND my husband got "fixed" about 3 years ago, so we are safe too..funny how we all use the word "fixed"..lol
Having the scar is so much better than having the muffin top.
lmao...so true!
UPDATED FROM Kimmers25

October 12th I had my six month follow up appt...

October 12th I had my six month follow up appt yesterday with Dr. K and it want very well. I am so happy with my results and amazed at my changes. New pictures to follow this weekend. I continue to have some swelling by the middle of the afternoon but it is getting better. I have noticed this past week that my pubic area and hips have gone down a bit more. The pubic area is still a bit of a problem for me. I just hope it goes down more and isn't so puffy. He cleared me to start doing Ab work again. Although he wants me to take is a bit easy for the next six months. I am still amazed that six months have already passed. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself and would do it all over again if necessary. The first three months I would not have said that though. It has been a long haul and many ups and downs but still worth it. I have been on the roller coaster of emotions, to swell hell and back multiple times but made it through! On surgery day I was in a size 10 pants and now today I am in a size 6 petite. Never thought I would get back there again. I honestly thought those days were gone with my 20's. I still head to the size 16's when I go to the store. My brain is still thinking fat so I need to learn how to get past that and cope with the new me. Now that I am cleared to do Ab work again I went to my first Boot Camp class tonight at my gym...Holy mother of GOD! I think I am going to need a walker tomorrow morning to get on and off the toilet. My legs are screaming and I can hardly walk. I have been exercising since 6 weeks post op but no classes. I have an appt at 5:45 tomorrow night with my trainer so that he can start me on a modified Ab routine. I sure hope I can walk tomorrow..Eeks. For you ladies out there waiting for your surgery and just out of surgery please stay strong because this is all worth it.

Updated on November 20, 2010:

I have had several people ask to see my final results after the 70 pound weight loss, 76 inches, breast reduction and tummy tuck so I am posting pictures.   My journey is finally complete and I am so happy I did all of this.

For those of you who are in the process of your journey just keep going and know you will get there.  It is a long hard road and you will have good days and bad days but they will all be worth it.

Bikinis, fun and sun in the Dominican Republic!

The hubby and I are heading out on a 12 day adventure vacation tomorrow morning.  I freaked him out at told him it was an “All Nude” resort!!!   Just kidding, no place to hide the tummy tuck scar there….LOL

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be 47 and wearing a bikini in public again.   Thank goodness for tummy tucks, breast lifts and lipo.  So is it wrong for 40 something’s to wear a bikini??

While I am gone there are some wonderful ladies who will take great care of you.   I will be back on December 19th.    So don’t panic when you don’t hear from me for a couple of weeks.

Happy Holidays to everyone:)

I have not updated in a while so here goes.  Still loving my results a little over two years post op and just last month started a new tattoo on my right side.   Tummy is still flat and I have no regrets.  Scar is awesome and I could not be any more happy.  I am posting a picture of my tattoo.  You will notice way down low the very faded looking scar.  Hard to even see anymore.  Thank you Palmer's and Bio Oil:)

Your results are absolutely amazing! I hope mine turns out as wonderful as yours. I love how low your scar is and your belly button looks terrific. You are such a positive person and give everyone such great feedback. Thanks for keeping everyone upbeat!
Thank you!! I am so completely happy with my results. Just had an appt with my PS yesterday for my six month. Wait until you see the new pictures! I was amazed at the changes just in the last two months. I will post them this weekend. He did go really low with the scar which I love and you can hardly see the scar at all anymore. You will do wonderful..I just know it! I really love this site and chatting with all of the women. It is nice to have support like this during a hard process. The doctors office gives you all of the clinical info but it is so helpful to talk with people who have actually been through the process. It makes you feel "Normal" and safer having all of the on line friends. Can't wait to see and read about your results. I wonder how women use to get through these processes years ago...prior to talking about it. How did they just hide away alone and keep it all to themselves?? That would be very scary. So glad this site is available.
Hey Kimmers! You ARE LOOKIN Awesome! Look at your hourglass figure love it!!!! You are so positive I'm so glad I met you on here. And Thx for helping me get along when I hit my rough patches.
Thank you my friend! I am so glad I was able to help you through the rough spots! You just drop me a line anytime you want to chat :) I will be posting my new 6 month pictures on Sunday! Yahoo.

How are you doing these days??  Send me an update when you get a minute :)
Hey Thanks for all the info. I am having my TT on Nov 4th and am nervous and ready to get over. Where do you buy the mederma cream you mentioned in your post?

Hi Patricia,

How exciting..the count down is on!  Nervous is totally normal but you will be happy you did this for yourself.   You can get the Mederma cream at any pharmacy, Walmart, Target etc.    Did you read the Tummy Tuck Survival Guide?   Keep us up to date on your TT journey!  I will be excited to hear how you are doing.  Did you consider doing pre and post op pictures?  It is fun to watch the changes as you heal.
i posted my pre op photos and will post the after once i can stand a little straighter lol... How is the easy way to get out of a recliner by yourself, right now i have my husband helping me but he goes back to work Monday and it is still hard to get up, of course this is third day since surgery.

Hi Patricia,

Can't wait to see your after pics!!

The easiest way to get up on your own is this..scooch your bottom to the edge of the seat while using your arms for leverage.  Then use your arm and thigh muscles to push yourself up.  It is a big tedious at first but gets easier the more you do it.   Any way you toss it this is hard.  You can do it though.  You will quickly learn what causes you the least amount of pain and pull.

Other than that how are you feeling?  And how is the swelling?
Hey just wanted to say that tummy looks like a teenagers!!hooray!! Wed is my big day will be happy if I turn out half that good!!

It is completely amazing what a great surgeon can do!   I don't think my tummy looked this good in my 20's.  Yours will be amazing too!    I will be thinking about you and anxious to hear how you are doing.
Just wanted to say I've made it out alive that's about all the good news I can report as of now My goodness this scare is something else I didn't have all of this puckered up skin with mt Csection or my Hysterectomy I just can't imagine the skin ever laying down oh well I can't go back I noticed someone mentioned having scare revision what do you know about it? will feel better so and will chat then

I am so glad you let me know you came through ok.  Glad to hear from you :)  Don't worry about how the scar looks right now; it is simply to early to even get upset about it.  They do not look all that spectacular the first month but it will smooth out.  One the wound is healed..about two weeks; you can start massaging the incision line 3 times a day with the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil.  That is ultimately what will smooth and heal the scar.  Just hang tight right now an be as patient as you can.  I do know how hard that it!  In the mean time if you want to read up on the scar revision go under the Q&A section of the site.  There is a large amount of info out there.    Many have asked the same question you did.  But I really don't think you should worry right now.

Rest up, drink your fluids, and eat some good healthy protein.  Oh yes...and remember the pain meds!  Let me know how you are doing this week :-)
ok so i have tried numerous times to post new pics but for some reason it will not let me which leads me to ask if you have had the same problem?

Ive noticed if I eat anything with high sodium my belly swells, If your eating a lot of fast food you probably are retaining a lot of water. But the fast food diet as you know will also ruin your TT. Can you pack a cooler bag and settle for fruits, sandwiches, light pasta, salads, nuts.. Then eat your hot meals for dinner. Just a suggestion. There's lots of low sodium options. It's worked for me so far. I cannot tolerate any soda at all anymore either. I tried one diet coke and my belly felt like I had rocks in it!
Agree!!! I am six months out and any sodium and soda about kill me. I bloat up so terribly. I think this just may be the way it is for the rest of my life. Eating healthy is better for us anyway. It is worth eating healthy just to keep the tummy flat.
My surgery is Dec 15th. I plan to go back to work Jan 12th..... am I gonna be able to?

Oh yes, that is a great amount of time off.  Now you will not be up to full speed but this is workable.  What type of work do you do?

Upholstery. .....

Be cautious with lifting, pulling and tugging for a few weeks.  Simply listen to your body and if something hurts, stop and modify what you are doing.

Thank you ladies, I'm going to have to try this! I didn't go through all of the pain, and money invested to mess up the work of my doctor. I am going to look up the "anti-flamatory diet" too.

Welcome to the site:)

Thank you so much :) I'm really enjoying the support that everyone has for each other! So awesome :)

You are welcome:)
