Always had planned to have corrective surgery when my time came. I had a few consults in my 40s, and they essentially said come back when you are much saggier. 25 yrs later, as you can see, my time had come. I happened to be visiting the Ft Lauderdale area, so I thought I would book a consult based on reviews of RS. This was my third consult. I found all of the positive comments regarding this physician to be true. Booked macs lift, neck lift and fat grafting. I’ve worked in healthcare for many years at 5 different hospitals. I believe I’m not allowed to state my profession due to credentialing. I’ve worked with over 75 MDs (without exaggeration) and knew after the consult that Dr Thomassen had all the qualities I was looking for, talented, kind, meticulous, experienced. His work and suture lines are excellent, and I would recommend him without reservation.

Wow! The difference in your two pictures is amazing. Hope you share your journey! You mentioned you were visiting Fort Lauderdale. How long did you stay following your surgery, and how did you coordinate aftercare back home?

Thank you! They book a next day visit to remove drains and assess incisions. They recommend no flying for 10 days minimum to guard against blood clots but I had to go back in 8 days. LOTS of hydration and walk in plane every 1/2 hr. He used absorbable sutures so no need for removal. They had planned f/u appt in July but I will be going down in early aug. I’m in healthcare so monitoring my own incisions for infection, etc.

Certainly, $11,500 for MACS lift, neck lift, and facial fat grafting. Very reasonable when compared to New England fees.

No regrets in doing procedures. Still feels like I’m wearing elastic support head wrap but I’m not haha. I understand the tight feeling is a positive effect and aids in a long lasting result. Swelling is down. Incisions are red/pink; normal for this stage and still have a few tiny scabbed spots. Still have a little mustache bruise and under one eye. I’m very happy with outcome. I try to take my pics in same position, no makeup.

I’ve been asked about 1 year post surg result. I’m extremely pleased with how result is being maintained. Had MAC, neck lift, and facial fat transfer. People think I’m almost 20 yrs younger than I am. I’ll be 66 in July. I can hardly see the surgical incisions myself, and I’m an RN. I would not hesitate to see Dr T again and plan to do so when pandemic is under control.
