Best Decision!
I’ve never had a jawline and was never a fan of my profile. 2 years ago I tried Kybella, and did 2 round of it and was left with a saggy neck—worse than before! I thought it’d do the trick of getting rid of my pesky double chin, but it only accentuated it.
I finally sought out a few reputable facial plastic surgeons who all gave me the same response, “you need a face lift.” Worst news! I thought it was going to be an easy fix but the truth was that I had too much excess skin, jowls and it all was made worse by kybella.
I had 3 consults. One in Beverly Hills who quoted me 35k! (What?!) Another in Newport that the was 12k, and finally, FINALLY find the holy grail by being referred to Utah Facial Plastics by another surgeon and a good friend. They were incredible from beginning to end. I have nothing but good things to say. Dr. Henstrom was the best! Professional, knowledgeable and I never once felt nervous or uneasy—especially being awake for the whole procedure. It was 1000% worth the trip to Utah.
The procedure itself took about 2.5 hours. He did some lipo under my chin, and the MACSlift. I can honestly say I was never in pain. There was some discomfort the first 48 after, but nothing a pain pill didn’t fix. The bruising was VERY minimal and I think that was due to the drains they put in during the surgery to get rid of excess blood and fluid. The morning after the surgery, I went back to have the drains removed, and 3 days after that had the majority of the stitches removed, and on the 5th day out, I flew back home to Southern California. I’m in awe how fast it has healed. They recommended I take Vitamin C a few weeks before and Arnica pills before and after the procedure. I can’t say I’ve ever healed that quickly from a surgery before, so there had to be something to those.
I’m exactly 2 weeks out from my surgery date and I was back to work a week later. I feel back to 100%(Im a salon owner and hairdresser)! The tightness is gone, my incisions are remarkably unnoticeable, and everyone just asks if I cut my hair or something because they can’t figure out what’s different.
I am SO happy with my results and I know it’ll just continue to heal and get better!
