Ultherapy is Amazing - Lynnwood, WA

I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Wortham in Lynnwood, WA. Previously, I had injectables performed in my home state of NJ. I thought that is what the doctor would recommend when I first met with him. But instead, he recommended Ultherapy. And I'm thrilled that he did! Ultherapy tighened up my lower jaw and under chin area immensely. The ends results aren't at their full peak until several months have gone by, however, I can clearly see significant tightening and definition of my chin and jawline. To say that I'm thrilled would be an understatement. The procedure wasn't painful for me, and I was able to leave the office and go about my day. There is no down time to this proceedure.

photos? why don't any of the glowing, positive reviews show photos?
November 6, 2015
I will ask my doctor for the before photos. But I don't go in for the "after" photos until next week. (Three month mark).
I need to let you know that I feel like your post sounds a little passive aggressive. I cannot speak for why the other "glowing, positive" reviews lack photos. Grouping my post with other posts that you've come across is a little absurd and frankly, it makes it sound like you're doubtful of my great results.
Talucha1988...I'll post those pictures when I go to my three month visit next week! Can't wait to show you! :)
I'm thinking of getting my neck and chest area done next. Picture to come.

Oh my, that wasn't my intention at all. My apologies. I have been reading and researching Ultherapy for the past 6 months and it's been a challenge to find good reviews that also show photos (that aren't courtesy of Ultherapy). There seem to be several "trolls" on Real Self who have invested a lot of time and energy in promoting their extreme dislike/distrust of Ultherapy, and I have found myself confused by what's real and what's not. I just turned 46 and, wow, in the course of 3-4 months my face appears to be sliding of my face. I am quite lean (an endurance athlete) but have "chubby" cheeks that are now sitting much closer to my jaw than I'd prefer. I'm not ready for surgery and would love to try Ultherapy but it's so hard to get a straight answer even from the doctors. At least with filler you know there will be some improvement; and at $3K for Ultherapy, I'd like some kind of guarantee. I eagerly await your before photos and do apologize for any undertone of passive aggressiveness. Thank you for sharing your story. You are stunning! :)

Thank you so much for your kind words, and now I see where it is you are coming from. I am very new to this site. I came to it after I had my ultherapy. So I didn't know there were so many negative reviews of the proceedure. Had I known this, I can tell you I most likely would never have had it done myself.
I want to help you and anyone on this site in anyway that I can. I feel like you and I are very similar: I'm a runner, thin, but with sort of chubby cheeks. This procedure was AMAZING for me. My chin area has become more "pointy" for lack of a better word, and I love it!
I went back and tried to find women who had poor results from Ultherapy. Here are a few things I've noticed from the people who've had negative experiences:

AGAIN THESE ARE JUST MY OBSERVATIONS
1. The eye area is very tricky to do with Ulthera. I would never have that done. It's too risky.
2. Women who have only had their lower face and neck done seem to have had the best results.
3. Some women are going to technicians who haven't been extensively trained in this procedure. And, is everyone going to at least double to triple board certified plastic surgeons? Not "cosmetic" surgeons: PLASTIC surgeons? There is a huge difference.

Hi again and thank you for continuing to respond and update! It's really helpful. Indeed, sounds like we are similar in physique. The Dr. who would do the Ultherapy is a double board certified plastic surgeon; I wouldn't risk this procedure to a "med spa". My plan is to do my lower face/neck as that's where I have the most sag. I'm wondering, have you seen much improvement with marionette and nasolabial lines? Thanks so much for your willingness to share.

Dear kka100, I'm going through the same caution as you because of the conflicting reports. Good luck with your search! I think we ladies should share any b/a photos we come across; the more connection we have with each other the better this site will be.

I will post my before images later this week.
I didn't have too much of an issue with my marionette lines prior to this....that said, my chin and that area is pointy(er) and much tighter and so if there were lines there, they are certainly gone . Also, if you recall, I only had my lower face done. So my naso labial folds were not treated. Because of my fuller face, those have never been an issue for me.
I'm going back to get my decolatage area done.
Good, good, GOOD for you for choosing a board certified plastic surgeon!!! After researching the "negative" ultherapy results here, I'm beginning to wonder if these "doctors" are really board certified plastic surgeons or if some of these ladies are being scammed by "beauty cosmetic centers" that claim to have the technology, but not the brains to perform these risky aesthetic proceedures..
Again, I will show before pictures KkA. I promise!

Wow! You and I seem to be the only folks on the sight who're pleased with their Ultherapy treatment! =D

Hi Kashmiri...
Yes, I feel that way too!
I posted a long comment to kka100 below. I hope it helps because there are so many women here who have horror stories about this proceedure. And I feel terribly for them.

Glad to hear that, I am going in for the procedure this next week, I have been a bit sceptical. You have eased my mind, Thank you

This image was taken this evening by my husband in pretty intense/harsh lighting. I will post the "before" picture when I request it from Dr. Worthham's office next week. As I posted initially, I had my lower jaw done as well as my chin and upper neck done. I simply love the results. I'm 47 years old, and a non-smoker. I have a fuller face, and I feel like this procedure is perfect for someone like myself, who tends to gain weight in their lower face.

I looked great at 3 months, I'm a year and bummed

Oh jeeze, I'm so sorry. Like I wrote, I'm a thin woman, but I have that chipmunk cheek thing, and my jaw line wasn't that strong. I'm going to get mine done again in January, at the sixth month mark. No matter what.
Listen, I meant to write this in my initial post, do you take a lot of NSAIDS? I.e. Advil, aspirin, etc. Because there are studies that they can inhibit New collagen synthesis. I realize this doesn't help you very much now. Again, I'm very sorry your results weren't what you had hoped for.
November 6, 2015
Thanks! I think it' s because I didn't need it and was just doing it to keep things fresh. Looking into Thermage now.
