PDO threadlift (nervous patient) 50 years old

Here are some pictures which were taken a week after the treatment, bruising still visible , but covered with make up, No pain, except bruise under neck a little tender when washing face if you press it. Swelling gone , still very pleased with the result , which I’m told will continue to improve.

I was getting really miserable about my sagging jawline, and that my face was starting to lose volume, I have been going to Belinda at Chamberlain for 9 years, I usually have Botox and filler but this time wanted to do something to improve my lower face, . Belinda suggested the PDO threadlift. I am the most nervous patient of trying anything new( I’m fine with Botox and fillers ) but I one hundred percent trust Belinda, I know that she is an expert in what she does . On the day , after checking that nothing had changed medically , Belinda talked me through every stage of the process ( I had already read the information sheet ) I must have asked a thousand questions, will it hurt, will I be able to move my face? Will there be any marks ? Etc . Belinda patiently answered all my questions and reassured me explaining every step of the procedure. First of all I had some anaestheic cream put on, then I had my usual Botox to the crows feet, forehead , between the eyes. I think after that I had some small lidocaine injections around the areas to be treated. When I was sufficiently numbed , Belinda started the threads, I had quite a few on the lower face and then some smaller ones.I won’t lie I thought they were uncomfortable and a little bit painful ( but then i
Was really quite anxious ) after one side was done , I looked in the mirror . Wow ! I could already see a big difference, my cheeks were lifted and as a result my under eye had become a lot smoother too. There was a little bit of redness and some bruising at the lower jaw, but nothing that couldn’t be hidden with a bit of make up. This made me feel so much more relaxed that when I had the other side of my face done it wasn’t half as uncomfortable . When it was finnished Belinda showed me in the mirror , I was thrilled, then because she is so precise in her work she said I’m going to do two tiny threads at the side of this eye , so that I was symmetrical . One of my eyebrows is naturally lower than the other. When it was all done I had a little bit of filler in my top lip, ( my lips are naturally quite big anyway , but again one side of the Cupid’s bow is slightly bigger . ) afterwards Belinda took some pics , and she had brought a gel pack that I had put in the freezer, she told me to press this against my face . I was told that I would have a little bruising but to keep applying the gel pad. I was also told not to drink any alcohol , as this could make the bruising worse. That night I slept slightly propped up with some pillows. The next day I was a bit swollen but I was able to put make up on and catch a flight ! Today is Day is day three and the swelling is going right down and the bruising ( still there ) is nowhere near as bad as I thought it might be. Will post some pics, but all in all I am thrilled ! I could not recommend this lovely lady highly enough , she truly is an expert at what she does and is so thorough and caring, she will always take the time to explain everything . I would never go anywhere else . I flew in from Europe just to see her. ( I used to live in the uk ).
