Lumecca IPL at Skincision by Allen Rezai MD
I've had 3 surgical procedures with Allen Rezai, as well as my botox and some dermal filler in the past, so when Mr Rezai launched his non-surgical clinic, Skincision, it was a no-brainer to visit as I trust Mr Rezai and his team implicitly.
I have suffered from Rosacea since my early 30s and have tried most topical treatments, including Ivermectin ointment and Metronidazole gel prescribed by my GP, none of which worked, so when I heard about Lumecca I was keen to try it out.
I have had 3 sessions so far, and I am thrilled with the results. Mr Rezai, Alex and Maria are friendly, informative and always available to speak to at anytime, including out-of-hours.
I had my first session in the summer and it was pretty painless, just a little hot 'snap' (similar to being flicked by an elastic band) sensation during the procedure and then there was some mild sunburn type redness/warmth for an hour or so afterwards. Maria talked me through the procedure as she was performing the Lumecca and was quick and efficient. I was provided with clear pre and post procedure instructions and able to go about my normal day afterwards.
My skin healed pretty fast and my freckles/sun spots lightened significantly too, which was an added bonus even though my main area of concern was the rosacea. Also, my skin felt much tighter and I received compliments saying that my skin looked amazing and even plumper, which is always nice too!
Since the first session of Lumecca, the following 2 have continued to lighten my rosacea and my freckles/sun spots have disappeared. I only have some stubborn thread veins and minor redness left as this can take around 6 sessions to diminish.
I am thrilled with the results I have now, and I wish I had heard about Lumecca years ago as I would have done it a lot sooner. My confidence is so much better as I don't always want to wear foundation, and now I don't have to or feel self-conscious about my red/inflamed looking cheeks.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Skincision and Allen Rezai as I fully prescribe to the 'less is more' mantra the team are known for. There is no upselling or frivolous extras pushed and I can happily say that they are lovely people too, bedside manner can really make or break a provider and you won't find better in my opinion.
