I have been doing botox injections on my forehead...
I have been doing botox injections on my forehead and around my eyes for around 10 years with great results and except for the odd bruise have had no bad side effects. I continue to do them. I did one session about 11/2 years ago which left me with large bruises on the upper area of the cheeks. I then went to get a facial massage a few weeks later ( still with my face slightly bruised) and she used an apparatus which was an electric iodizing machine which helps product penetration and this spread my small bruise on both sides and made a crescent shape brown spot on both cheeks. This is present still today and is a hemosiderin stain. I was in a treatment at the time of arginine which I was not aware is a blood thinner. This is a big no no when it comes to injections. It came out later when my doctor asked me if I had taken aspirin or any medication. I am still trying to get rid of the staining 11/2 years down the road and would like to know if anyone has had experiences to this effect and if they have had a resolution to this problem. I have done many IPL, fraxel etc. and my skin is looking fantastic except I look tired because of this staining. I am desperate to find a solution to this. Help!!
