Fractional C02 Laser 60 Year Old - Loxahatchee, FL
ORIGINAL POST
I wanted to improve the appearance of my skin...
I wanted to improve the appearance of my skin prior to a facelift, so I decided that the Fractional C02 Laser was a good fit. Dr. Nir answered many of my questions, and his staff are wonderful. I was given instructions to follow (information and prescriptions to fill). The numbing cream did work (I was so numb I was drooling); however, I still found the laser painful. I swore I would never do this treatment again, but as time passes, and due to the wonderful results, I find I will consider this treatment again. It should be noted that I find the older I get, the less effective topical pain relievers work on me. I was told that the burning sensation would last an hour, and to use a fan. Let me tell you, I couldn't get the fan on me fast enough! But, almost to the minute, the pain stopped after one hour! (Thank God!). I did have to hide-out for about 6 days, but after about 8 days--wow--the results were fantastic! I have had a few IPL treatments for spots that darkened later, but I find that IPL is not painful if on a lower setting. Once again, I would consider doing this procedure again, but with a different pain reliever. I am very happy with the results, and received many compliments.

You look great. Do you have a picture of yourself before that we can see for comparison?

Your skin looks radiant! Thanks so much for sharing the details of your experience. ( I too am planning on ablative laser resurfacing before having a facelift) (among other lifts, nips & tucks & whatnot....) So I will really look forward to reading your next entries as you embark on your next surgical journey!! Thanks and good luck, Kathi : )
