Restylane Lyft injected Marionette

UPDATED FROM ac1234
1 month post

Update

$930
I still have a pouches on both sides and we are a month in. I assume this is the final outcome and I will be living with this for the next 6 months or longer. I will never have any filler put in my marionette lines. It is very noticable and makes my face look worse. I am thinking about Sculptra but now I am terrified to have anything done so not to make things look worse. Decisions, decisions, maybe let nature run it course and quit trying to look good? I haven't completely gone mad!

Thanks for the update. I think you look pretty good (and no marionette lines!) but I know we're always the harshest critics of our own appearance. I've been considering (based on two different recommendations) either Restylane Lyft or Juvederm for my marionette lines. My face is a little rounder than yours so that may affect my results, plus everything I've read says it's more the person doing the injecting than what is injected that makes the biggest difference. The question is, how to find the most qualified and most experienced injector?
Thank you. Good luck with finding the most qualified injector. I am going for consultation for sculptura at my derm office. The nurse that does the injections is booked, always, 3-4 weeks out. So she must be doing something right! I know I have read several times that if a Nurse is the injector to run! I've had a reputable PS and it was awful. Most cases the nurse does the work of a doc anyway. I do know that the PS I saw is t booked and can get in right away. That should have been my first warning. Why isn't he booked? I hope you find a great injector.
I know there is a big Sculptura craze right now. Please don't jump on this bandwagon unless you know what you're getting yourself into. I have been getting fillers for a long time and it does have a lot to do with the injector. I won't even think about doing Sculptura. It's too permanent, a lot of money, and if you don't like it, there's no turning back. I have tried almost every filler and this is one I just won't let myself get talked into. If you take into consideration the cost and time involved with this filler, then maybe a mini lift would be more cost effective. I was going to keep getting Botox to bring my brows and lids up. When I started doing the math, it made more sense to spend 2900 on a lid lift. Much more time for the money. I did that before I'd touch Sculptura.
I don't think sculptra is for me. I have read too many horrors and it scares me. I am now going with cheek fillers in hopes it brings my cheeks up some to hid the hollows and disguise the pouches. I am also going to consult with Ps on mini lift which, money wise makes sense.
Please let us know how the cheek fillers work out. I have the same issue around my mouth that was overfilled 2 years ago and won't go away. That was done by an expert, too.
It looks like he injected it too low.
Be vert careful with Sculptra...I ended up with granulomas that had to be surgically removed and left me with a long scar on my cheek plus I needed fat transfers to even out my left and right side....They said it was because the PS didn't inject it deep enough but he was a board certified PS and used sculptra hundreds of times. He said he never saw what I had which I know wasn't the truth...Just be careful..You are beautiful...
You don't have to be stuck with something you're not pleased with. Fortunately, restalyne lyft is REVERSABLE using vitrase to dissolve the product. I've had lyft in marionette lines and it just doesn't hold the same way juverderm ultra plus xc does. (Which is also reversible). Lyft is great for the cheekbones to create that contour, and restalyne silk is amazing for undereye hallows (which I also had done). But for the marionette lines I would stick with Juvederm. It really gives a softer appearance, and the hyaluronic acid spheres in juvederm xc are more voluminous.
Dissolve,at least half of what's been injected, from your lower face and build your midface. Your lower face is heavy at the moment ,due to filler and it's dragging jowls down. Always start injecting upper face if the first time user or have a thin face.

I am hoping that I am still swollen. My lower face...

I am hoping that I am still swollen. My lower face has lost the fat pads it once had so I ask a reputable PS who gets good reviews here on realsef what he would recommend about my marionette lines. His response was to build it up so that it would look less hollow. He added 1 syringe per side of Restalyne Lyft. As of today my right side isn't too bad but my left side looks horrible. I am hoping it is still swollen. I hat no bruising as if yet and very little soreness the day afterwards. Will wait until Tuesday a full week before I contact PS.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I hope you find support here in the community.

Keep us posted if this is just due to swelling .
Can I ask which doctor?
Honestly, I can't see what you're talking about. Your face looks really good. If you are skeptical of any of the hyaluronic fillers, don't do Sculptura. Sculptura is pretty much permanent. At least with the
Hyaluronic fillers you can have it dissolved.
Sorry about your experience. I feel like one syringe per side was twice what you'd have needed for a subtle fix. You can of course have it dissolved, but why go through the hassle? Fillers are great, but it's really your injector that makes the difference. You are beautiful, but I can imagine how you're feeling.
