Hi cutie Chick babeeees. I'm so grateful for this site that I have been obsessed with for months! I weigh 155 lbs and an 5'5" and very short waisted so top half I have to wear petite sizes and regular sizes for my bottom half. I had my surgery a week ago today and other than pretty severe bruising I am recovering great. My breasts were small and I had little room for an implant when I had my implant 21 years ago which may be why my dr gave me 325 filled to 375 saline under muscle. About four months ago I notices a sudden softness and partial collapse and knew my implant had ruptured....of course 21years!?!?!? I'm lucky it didn't happen much earlier. I wanted cleavage this time because my breasts are weird and far apart even though i have a small frame. Things have changed with implants during the past 20 years so my doctor said I can get cleavage this time around!! Yay!!!!!!! I took Percocet and muscle relaxers around the clock for the first three days and switched to Tylenol during the day when I went back to work at day3 to my office job. I am exhausted and have to take pain pills in the evening and during the night this week. I have my one week appointment today and am looking forward to asking my questions.

You must be so pleased! You look fantastic one week post op. Thanks for so positive a posting. This baby boomer needed to hear this, have some vintage implants and needed non -neurotic encouragement. Thank you.

I had my sutures and tape removed today. I remembered when the dr called the night of surgery that my surgery lasted two hours because I had a lot of scar tissue from my prior BA and my doctor made sure I was completely clear for my new boobies. My right breast was worse. I scar and bruise very easily so I knew I would have bruising and it's already clearing up. I have been sleeping sitting upright in the recliner and I can now sleep in bed as long as I lay on my back and prop myself up on a couple pillows. I am so relieved!! I can't massage yet because I have to wait ten days for that. I'm having trouble finding a comfortable bra. I was told to wear one as soon as I got home from the surgery and I bought a danskin medium sport bra and also a halter type sport bra. One is too stiff and hurts and the other is too flimsy and doesn't seem to support me very well. Ugh!! I need help from you girls to let me know what kind of bra to order online. I think I am around a 36DD

I heard fruit of the loom carries pretty comfty ones... Comfortable yet supportive.. Check amazon. Or Walmart is known to carry good ones

Thanks! I found the cozy bra at Walmart and bought both medium and large and the medium fit better. Very comfortable and seems to support my girls without pushing them around.

The plastic surgeon usually fits you with a compression bra before you leave the operating room. It should not be up to you to go out and find a proper fitting bra...you need compression during the time that you are still swollen.
August 30, 2015
My doctor doesn't require anything except a sports bra which I suppose would be considered compression but I am now finally ready to go get fitted in the next couple weeks and am anxious to find out what size bra I wear now. Good luck.

Try the Genie bra. It's good because you can step into it, pull it up, the step out of it later. I found that I had to go up one size to alleviate pressure on my ribs. Sears also has their own brand, called fundamentals, and I really like those, too. I had reconstruction following bilateral mastectomy, so my scars are across vs below, but I think you will find either of these brands to be comfortable. Good luck!

Thanks gma I am like you that I like larger band sizes so that the bra isn't so tight. I can't stand tight bras!!!!!
August 17, 2015
The best post surgical bras are macom they fasten at the front and only require you to know your bak size,, they also stock breast belts which can ensure the breast implants can't move ,x
August 29, 2015
Thanks Angi I will research. I don't need the breast belt since this is my revision they don't need to be pushed down. must be because I've got old boobs and they aren't perky and tight... lol

I bought 5 Sports Bras from Victorias Secret. After I put one on in the dressing room, I had to have a supply! They feel like someone is holding up my breasts, with a racerback, no cutting, no poking. Just right! VSX Sport is the name of the bra.

I agree, you look amazing! I'm 57 and going in for a revision after cc. In Oct. You had some awesome wish pic posted that I was hoping to show my ps. Any way you could repost? Thanks for sharing your experiences!
August 31, 2015
I posted my wish pic for you. I also had a cc in my precious surgery. Make sure you take Singulair two weeks before and 6 months after and do your massages every day. The chances of getting another cc are much greater so take care! Good luck babeeeee!
September 1, 2015
Thank you for reposting your pics! Are you all healed now and are you still free of cc? My ps will be using strattice. He also prescribes acolate.

I am so excited to get this behind me for the next season of my life..
Did you feel this went smoother than your first time?
I am not sure about the bra issue but several of the girls say go to Walmart and get the comfy cozy bra... So I did just that...
