Let me just begin by saying how incredibly happy I am that I had breast augmentation surgery. It has literally been life changing. My self esteem and body image has increased tremendously. I highly recommend to any woman who is considering breast augmentation to go for it, you will have no regrets. The only draw back is the price but it is worth it. I had my surgery done on a Friday and was back to work on Monday. I am a nurse at a very busy dermatologist office and I was surprised at how well I felt going back. I took very little pain medication but the muscle relaxers were the most beneficial for me since my implant went under the muscle. I am now 3 months out and I feel better than ever. I can't recommend this surgery enough!

Hi Megan, I just posted my before and after pictures. I was originally a 34A. Based on my doctors recommendation, I chose a textured shaped implant, 400cc I believe. I have a wide chest and the round implants looked awkward being that they were too far apart. The shaped implants allowed me to achieve the more natural look I was going for. Albeit they were more expensive but if I was going to do it I was going to get exactly what I wanted. The nurse admitted to me when I came in for my 6 week check up that she didn't think I had enough breast tissue to work with but she said they look amazing. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask me!

thank you so much for taking the time to write an and help. I feel like I’m looking in the mirror at your before! what’s a textured shaped implant?
February 21, 2018
You are so welcome! I read so many reviews and looked at a ton pictures. I just wanted to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. The most commonly used implant is a round, smooth, silicone implant. The less commonly used implant is the textured shaped implant. Due to the oblong shape, you do not want the implant to be able to move around freely. The textured shape prevents the implant from doing just that, it keeps it in place, whereas if the smooth, round implant moves a bit, or twists or what not, it would not be noticeable. I hope that makes sense.

I am thinking of this surgery but worried about the anesthesia causing me to be sick. Did you have any anesthesia side affects? How long was your surgery? Did you have to wait 6 weeks to start back working out? So scared but wanting surgery maybe more. Dr. Salzman will be 5e who does it but finding time to recoup.

This was my first time ever to have surgery and go under any type of anesthesia. I didn't have any problems at all. I was of course very tired for the rest of the day but that was it. The surgery was about 45 minutes to an hour from the time they took me into the operating room

and brought me back out to recovery. I did wait 6 weeks to start working out again and I was fine with that. I didn't want to do anything to mess up the surgery. I understand the apprehension you are experiencing but like I said in my review, I don't regret it one bit and I'm so happy that I went on and did it. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I am saying for a lift and augmentation. the surgeon I will go with recommended under the muscle as well. I see you had that. how was the pain? I am planning this year to get it done. just saving bc a lift and implants is a lot more. glad to see you say go for it. always have that what if in the back of your mind.
February 26, 2018
Yes, I definitely don't regret it one bit. If I hadn't done it I would have always have that "what if". The pain really wasn't that bad. I took my prescribed pain meds around the clock for the first 48 hours, then weaned myself down to just at bedtime since I had to go back to work on pistol day 3. I took Tylenol during the day and a muscle relaxer when I got home for about 5 days after surgery. The pain subsided within about a week and then it was just sore. The pain if forgettable, the confidence is not!!
