Almost 2 Months PO!
Hey Realself, I just wanted to give you guys an update. I'm doing Great. I still deal with swelling, mostly in the late evenings. I still wear some type of compression garment everyday. And at night for the most part. I've been walking about 3 times a week... I want to lose about 10-15 pounds. I went out with my hubby the other night and here's a pic that I want to share...
5 weeks PO
Well, it's been a minute RS World! You ladies are looking great. I've moved, gone back to work, and begin exercising since I last posted. I've had a lot going on. My kids are at my Moms for the weekend so I've been relaxing. My scar is looking great! Everything is healed. I'm feeling great. I walked 2 miles today. I went to the mall with my daughters that came home from school and I'm super swollen. I'm not uncomfortable just swollen. I've been to the gym or park everyday this week except Tuesday. I'm doing scar treatment on my abdomen that were caused by the drains and pain pump. I'm gonna start scar treatment on my incision on Thursday. 6 weeks mark! Yay!!! Oh, sex is Great! Well here's a photo not tummy photos yet but here's a little something! Happy healing RS World!
PO Day 20!
I'm feeling good. I'm really flat this morning. I went to see my ps on this past Monday, po day 18 and he drained more fluids from my tummy. About the same amount as the first time. He advised me to take it easy on my fluid intake and to continue to rest. Hopefully, my body can began to absorb the fluids. It didn't hurt he stuck a needle in my lower abdomen where the fluid collected. I prefer this over the drains! Yep sure do! I moved on Monday, well my son, husband, and brother moved us. So I'm trying to settle down. My babies are with my mom and I will drive down and get them later today. I'm driving full time now. I've been driving long distances so I make use of the cruise control. Everyday it gets better. I see that this will be a long process dealing with the swelling but everything else looks really good. I now have a side profile. I follow my ps instructions. His style is really simple. I don't cover my scar with anything, I apply my antibiotic ointment and put on my compression garment. I've bought several as well as my pre surgery girdles. He said that was fine. My scar is looking really well. Already flat in some areas. I will begin scar therapy at about 6 weeks. With this surgery patience is the key to success. I have not returned to work yet. I've been working from home. I thank God that I have the ability to do that. My plans were to return to work at the 2 week mark and I just couldn't do that. So my plan is to return to work on this Tuesday, po day 26. That's nearly a month off and I needed that. My job doesn't require standing or lifting so I think I'll be ok. I will be posting pics later this week. I go see my ps again tomorrow to check on my fluid build up and I will post pics afterwards. Happy Healing RS World!!

Dr. Maguire has great bed side manners. He took time to answer all of my questions, which I had plenty saved in my notepad. :) He did not rush my initial consultation and he did not rush my preop. So now I'm just waiting on my results.
