Hair is growing in, slowly but surely. Just got a trim on the side with a 5 blade (a little too short) as the scar is showing. I should have requested a scissor cut.
Only thing that feels weird is the size of the scar. It's my second FUT and feels a bit wider than my first one. Hopefully hair will start filling in and it'll be less exposed, so I can cut it down to a 5 in the future.

They took care of me the first three days and Dr. Diep personally sat down with me to look over things. Spoke about a few things specifically about my case and was very generous with his time.
Feeling like the hairs are really start to "sink in".
My face has been super swollen the last 48 hours. This was to be expected and it feels like it's just passing now.

Significant amount of swelling (to be expected) but looks like these little guys are settling in!

Hi, I'm schedule to have mines done by Dr. Diep next month. I read many conflicting reviews about his post aftercare treatment that he is too busy to meet with clients and doesn't really follow up with them. How was your aftercare experience with him?

After we were done, he gave me a pamphlet with his cell phone highlighted and I've already been back to his office 2 times for cleaning/wash. Aftercare has been A+ for me so far. This is my second time though and I know that it takes months of recovery before results begin to show.
I read the same reviews that you did, and my feeling is..
Results vary it seems. And it's a gamble. For white males and most the males that have left reviews, it seems less of a gamble.
Looks like more of the african american women have had poor results on this realself site specifically (vs. hairrestorationnetwork). Now, keep in mind this *might* be the minority complaining that have bumps. It's hard for me to tell. As a male that has much more success and reviews of success, I grew a sense of confidence.
Not sure if that helps... I'd want to see as many before and after pictures specific to your scenario. Maybe even ask him for a few referrals from folks that have used him in the past that match your specific scenario.

The aftercare is terrible because there isn't any. I agree if you have had one before you know what to expect but first timers be aware. He doesn't even look the incision when the stitches are removed, a tech does it. Once the procedure is over you won't see him again. If you have any issues that would be a major concern. I received the same packet and phone number. That's his work cell number not personal.

It must depend on his schedule as if he's mid-surgeries he just won't have the time to do that much follow up. He sat down with me when I came in for my 3rd wash yesterday.

I'm wondering if the procedure cost has any ties to his aftercare attention. For $19K, Wow! I hope the results will be exactly what you expect.

I paid 12k for mine. Dr. Diep was very nice but the follow up was horrible because there is none. I would think they could schedule at least a six month appointment or something

Apart from your disappointing experience with his after care.. How is your results looking?

I think they are ok. My new hair is whispy but that is to be expected. It's not very dense. I will post a 5 month update in a few days. I still have less hair than I did before I started. I still have a spot with no hair but again I'm only at 5 months on the 25th of this month. Some of my shock loss is growing back. My head isn't as tight as it was. This is a slow process but I still think I wouldn't do it again if I had the chance.
