I have been dealing with trying to treat my acne scars for well over 10 years now. I have done several laser resurfacing treatments including co2 and non co2 lasers to try to resurface my skin. Up till this point the sciton laser was my favorite and since I have had a total of 6 extremely deep resurfacing treatment where my face bleed and oozed for 2 days I kinda figured that my skin was the best it was going to get.
I stumbled apon doctor Swengel's web page at REDEFINED DERMATOLOGY because they were having a special on bellafill. I had decided that I needed a new approach to my scars so I wanted to talk to him about subcision and bellafill for my acne scars. His treatment plan for me was to use 100% tca cross for my pit scares fallow by infini and PRP. I had never use any of these treatment before but I felt that since I was in the hands of a dermatologist I should listen to his advice.
STARTING WITH THE TCA CROSS, I was sceptical about this doing anything for my scars because I use a 70% glycolic acid at home to do home peels and haven't seen any noticeable difference with my scars. The TCA took almost a week to form a scab and another two weeks to fall off. From what I can see my one large box care scare in the front of my face has filled in by 50 Or 60 percent!!! Amazing!! NEXT STEP INFINI. I must admit I was a bit nervous to have this treatment after reading some of the other reviews about it being pretty painful and see some unfavorable picture of people's skin where the outer layer of the skin looked like grated cheese.
Before they got started they did a two part numbing process on me. First topical numbing fallow by some injection numbing. I ask the doctor to start the treatment in the most painful spot first so I could get it over with first. Once the treatment started I was beyond relieved because I COULDN'T FEEL A THING. Doctor Swengel did 3 passes on me. The deepest level was at a 275 nm and he did what I felt was a very thorough job, even getting up under my jawline.
When the treatment was over I was swollen but the surprising part is, is that the outer layer of my skin looked pretty normal. No grated cheese!!
Before I left the staff sent me home with a goodie bag of samples with some of there best products so that I could care for my skin at no extra charge. They gave me SinEccH tables, Defenage 24 fast starter kit, Domeboro compress solution and a dram of pure hyaluronic acid.
I will be posting pictures and a fallow up review soon.

I am having trouble uploading all the photos I have been taking over the past couple of days. I bought a new camera and the Image sizes are too large. once I figure out how to shrink my images I will post my photos I promise. I have started taking photos with my camera phone so I can show what my skin looks today.

That is great that this two step process worked for you. I have very similar scarring to yours, and had great success with 6-7 microneedling at max depth.

infini healing process

Day 1 Tuesday
The morning after my infini treatment I was twice as swollen as I was when I left the doctor's office. My upper lip also swelled up pretty good. But still the outside layer of my skin didn't seem very irritated at all. Just a little sensitive and a little warm when I had to bend over to pick something up. All in all I would have to say that I was pleased with what was happening, the swelling indicated to me that my body was responding to the treatment while the outer layer of skin still seemed pretty calm.
As a side note I did not wash my face the night of my infini treatment. I actually waited about 48 hours before using a cleanser. Since I had PRP and I wanted to make sure I would get the full benefit from it. I did however pat some water on my skin in the shower about 24 hours after my PRP. And started applying the defenage Tuesday night
Day 2 wednesday
My swelling was going down. I now look about the same as when I left the office. I had a couple spots on my face that were a little patchy rashy just around my mouth and chin but nothing to bad. I attempted to wear makeup this day but it made my skin look worse because I starting to peel. My peeling was pretty superficial not at all like when you have a laser peel. I felt like I could rub it and it would fall off.
Day 3 Thursday
Things were looking good. Just a little swelling left and some flaking. I decided that I would do a very light exfoliation treatment in the shower. I used some microdermabrasion crystals that I bought off ebay and barely applied any pressure to remove the flaking skin. I went out for the day with no makeup on and felt fine in public.
Day 4 Friday (today)
I went back to work with makeup on. I would say that my skin look 90 percent back to normal with still just a little rash on the right side of my upper lip. The pores in the front of my face do look a
lot small and the texture on my face looks noticeably smoother. I am excited to see how my skin will look in the next couple of months! I will post the rest of my picture ASAP
