I am currently 2 Days Post Op and will hopefully get the opportunity to share a couple of pictures with this forum when time permits. After almost a year of extensive research and consideration I took the leap an went with Dr. Diep and his staff. They have been really patient with me and the procedure has taken place and gone through beyond my wildest dreams. I am ecstatic about the whole process and my results look promising thus far even though it has only been a couple of days. There was Literally no pain involved and I was up and about the same day after the procedure. I had a huge mega session conducted and was given Full attention by the complete staff at this clinic. Dr. Diep is kind hearted, honest, professional, and among the top providers in hair restoration without any reservation in the world! The nurses at the clinic worked diligently. I will update more later and would also at this time like to thank everyone else on this forum for being there for me and sharing there personal experiences either through PM and on the open floor. There is so much to say that words could not describe I am very grateful and extremely happy.

Very excited for you. I too have been researching Dr. Diep and have a skype consultation with him in June. It took literally a month to just have this consultation so he must be busy. However, my concern is shaving my head where the hair will be going in. I think its called the receiving area. I am so concern of going back to work and my head shape is so funny it doesn't look good bald. What did Dr.Diep recommend?

First of all thanks. The area you are referring to is called your recipient area. This all varies on the type of procedure and amount of grafts you will need. You have the option of getting a FUE or FUT procedure and Dr. Diep will lay out the best options for you in my opinion and then let you decide which route to take. From what I have learned so far you will need at least 10 days which is the rule of thumb for your new hair to be fully intact after a procedure. You can then perhaps wear a work appropriate hat for a little while until your new hair follicles go through the shed phase and your hair will pretty much return to the way it looks at the moment. I would advise to ask him about any other questions and he will be able to help ease your worries as he did so for me. Also if your head shape and it being bald doesn't look good to you then you should seriously look forward to getting your hair fixed as I did mine. Good luck and wish you well thanks.

Does he have payment plans that's pretty Steep price for the average person
June 25, 2015
They offer financing it's on his website.
June 28, 2015
No payment plans directly through hair clinics that I have heard of but I guess you can pay by credit card etc. or get a carecredit line of credit to pay for procedure but be careful with the APR...
June 28, 2015
Read fine print when it comes to that stuff...
June 24, 2015
Did you choose to get the a cell treatment he offers?
June 28, 2015
Yeah I got it don't know if it will make a difference to be honest no one knows???
June 24, 2015
I wonder if you negotiated your price at all because you somehow got a great deal. I had FUT surgery with Dr. Diep about two months ago. I had 500 fewer grafts and paid significantly more. So, good for you. Also, your FUT incision looks much better than mine. Perhaps it depends on the individual or the laxity, I don't know. And, on the sides I have gotten a ridge, like a bulge, above the incision line that sticks out. I hope it flattens over time. Anyway, I can attest that the FUT procedure with Dr. Diep is painless, and I never needed any of the pain medication.
June 25, 2015
If you are the same person minorguy I think I saw your posts on Hair transplant network.
What did the doctor tell you about the ridge? Will it go away? He recommended I do
an fut but idk still undecided about the scar.
June 26, 2015
I didn't ask the doctor about it. At the time I didn't think about it. Anyway, I'd prefer a more unbiased opinion about it. I still have the scalp numbness so maybe it will heal gradually along with that.
Regarding FUT, yeah, you have to do research on it to decide. It depends on whether you like to keep your hair really short, how many grafts you expect to need over a lifetime, etc.
June 28, 2015
I paid actually just a little more then what I posted so probably at the same price point...I am soooo sorry about the ridge, bulge, or whatever you wanna call it I feel your pain but I got fut and plan to keep that area at least a 2 guard maybe to cover it up. I will PM you take care.

It's gonna be up to you just out it like this if you need for example 5000 grafts.....if you do FUE with no linear scar your looking at almost double the cost, two procedures, and double the length of time for results...you do get a better harvest outcome ratio via strip but it does leave a scar man because after cutting my hair I see it now and it's not pretty but oh well better then being Bald haha...

Minor,

Have you tried any scar creams I started using a cream called healing touch I hope it works a little it's kinda expensive but supposed to help with surgical scars etc...
June 30, 2015
No, but now I'm over two months. I don't know if it's too late.
July 1, 2015
There are creams out there that claim to help even older scars two months is not late at all and also I might do micro pigmentation along with a slight FUE touch up for the scar in the future...

How's your growing? I had mine on March second and its growing slowly but I have to agree that is very inexpensive. I'm being patient but hope we all turn out amazing like the work I have seen from him
June 28, 2015
I think you mean pretty expensive right hahah!! You get what you pay or your taking a chance that's my opinion...I am exactly at 1 month right now...got a hair cut two days before the 1st month was up so I basically have a buzz all over now and noticed a lot of the hair shed especially the grafts that were in the crown...fingers crossed I hope mine comes out good too like his videos...
June 28, 2015
Before the shedding began around the the two week mark it looked pretty cool and it looked like it was drowning all over so I will have to see I'll post some pics soon when I get some time bro thanks.

where were the donor hair from?
May 31, 2015
I had the FUT method ( Follicular Unit Transection ) aka the strip method so basically the hair was imported from the back and sides of my head via a single strip of hair. I was concerned as anyone would be about the outcome however my scar is nearly invisible and has not caused me any issues. This doctor uses the latest trychophitic closure technique and is really good at it.

Looks like a long day! Did the surgeon staple your trychophitic closure? I'm sure it's going to look great once it's all grown in
June 1, 2015
Thank you isotonic, no staples were involved!
