So Subtle, Yet So Much Better -- An Incredibly Talented and Kind Doctor

I cannot recommend Dr. Karimi highly enough. He performed a septo-rhinoplasty on me and was incredibly conscientious, responsive and comforting about the whole process. (I had a deviated septum that was blocked on one side and my nose appeared twisted to one side at the tip -- so it was an issue of asymmetry, which all my reading suggested can sometimes be more complicated to correct). I'm not a doctor, but I have a bunch of them in my family on the East Coast and they all had lots of opinions about the procedure :) One of them is a plastic surgeon who recommended two LA-based surgeons that he knew. After visiting them and looking at their work, I just felt like they weren't a good fit for me; to my eye, the rhinoplasties they showed me were not natural enough, and was a little put off by the overly sales-y approach of their staff. I ended up finding Dr. Karimi on my own based on extensive internet research and reading the reviews by his patients. After my initial visit, I knew that he was the right surgeon for me. A few days before my surgery, I started to feel concerned that I was going to come out of the procedure looking too nose-jobby. Dr. Karimi was at a conference or something, but had given me his cell phone number in the event that I needed to reach him. I ended up texting him to just restate that I was hoping for a really natural result . He reassured me that he understood, and delivered on that promise. Now, it's almost six months later and I am still amazed with his skills. I can breathe better and I look like an improved version of myself. Two of my closest friends -- and also my mom and husband -- said that I looked better but they wouldn't have known I had a rhinoplasty if I hadn't told them. From what I've gathered in all my extensive research, it takes a great deal of talent to change a face so subtly. Remarkably, Dr. Karimi is also a really kind, generous person as well. I'm so glad I went with my gut and chose him as my surgeon.
