Truly Thrilled
Dr. Haworth seems capable of carving out one’s true meant to be hidden self (mine got lost through trauma, both physical and emotional); he truly focuses on the individual an their physique and what is good for them. While I am waiting to heal, day 5 post surgery is beginning to look closer to the final result.

OMG YOU LOOK SO GOOD!!! I think in another week you will feel comfortable going out around others (at two weeks post op). Your swelling looks a lot like what mine did 5 days post op, however your lips look a lot better than mine did!I had almost no top lip to begin with so I assume you had more to work with. I think you are going to absolutely love the end results. Your face, even though swollen, looks very youthful to me. I am so happy for you!

I had ugly scars since early childhood from an accident. Lately I gained too much weight from prednisone, when it [the prednisone moonface] disappeared I was prematurely aged and my formerly full and luscious lips went flat as a tire: Please be careful with Steroids! They can wreak havoc with the fat distribution especially in your face. Someone on the forum lead me to the right doctor. As a result I needed a lip lift and V-Y plasty to rearrange scar tissue. This picture is for this person (M).

I cannot wait to see your results once you are healed!
Thank you: me either! When you are so swollen you cannot imagine what final result will be; but Dr. Haworth knows what he is doing: I have 100% trust in him; he was careful to not to remove too much, however, for some reason the philtrum looks non-existing (my natural one was not very long), so I hope I will get back some of my philtrum. Again thank you for leading me to the right Dr. To make a decision that boost my confidence and self worth again: like you I had a long journey of pain following a car accident and no Dr. Able to fix lips. Have a great day, I keep you posted!
I think my philtrum was also non existent the first few days when I was very swollen lol. My husband looked very worried when he looked at me during that time. After it begins to go down that area in between your upper lip and nose may stay swollen for a while. Everyone heals at different rates, but that was the area I was most concerned with during my recovery, as it took the longest to go down (a few months but you can be seen before that time). For myself recovering from this surgery was not painful, but was a bit psychologically difficult as it takes some time to recover, and it is your face. I did have some moments of worry and doubt. Conversing with other people who went through the surgery helped me. I am so sorry about your past car accident and pain. Hopefully this will start a new chapter of your life. I am very happy for you. Take care.
Thank you: you are so sweet.
I would be very eager to see a before photo and will be following all your updates. Fingers crossed for you!
Hi, what surgery did you have exactly? You did not mention that in your description. Do you have before photos? Thanks.
