Exceeded my Expectations!

My goal with this review is to help those on their journey of hair restoration. I made the mistake ten years ago by going with a doctor who wasn’t extremely documented for I was too focused on the cheap price. As a result, I went in for 1,500 graphs which would have been a basic filling in considering I wasn’t bald but merely thinning and after about a year it appeared only about 500 graphs stuck and weren’t properly places. I had embarrassing patches on the sides of my head along with the corners and the front looked like I got plugs. It was horrible to face this reality considering I was only 28.
I was determined to get this fixed and spent almost 3 years researching. During this time I lost more hair and started receding even more. So I was at a place where I not only needed to repair the existing damage but I needed to add more hair. I was looking for a few important components that I now know what to look for…
How long has the doctor been practicing?
Before and after pics of previous customers?
Technicians involved and their level of experience? How many in the procedure?
Where they’re located? Cleanliness of facility?
Doctors understanding of exactly what I am striving to accomplish?
Doctor sharing exactly what they plan on doing and our realistic expectations?
Does the doctor articulate a message of personal touch with my look or does it feel like an assembly line
Density of implants?
Do they provide a natural look utilizing as many hairs as possible?
Do they splice the graphs with precision so that the customer maximizes the strip?

I’m sure you have asked yourself all these questions when looking for the best doctor. I knew this time around I had to find a doctor who can fix my existing damages and add more hair to give me the original look I wanted. After visiting several sites and reading a ton of reviews I decided to move forward with NHI.
The original founder has been performing this procedure for years. He invented several techniques. He has dozens of patents, and so many positive reviews along with testimonials of real pictures. They offer a Sat. “Open House” like environment for a new client to come in and meet former patients and ask as many questions as possible. Very helpful and non salesy. Dr. Rassman is like Socrates and Jae Pak would be Plato. You have a choice as to which doctor you want to move forward with.
I chose Jae Pak for after sitting with him, I just felt he knew exactly what I needed to get done. I felt since he’s been working with Dr. Rassman for a handful of years, he adopted the veterans approach while having a fresh pair of eyes and hands. Not taking anything away from Dr. Rassman for he’s still great, I just really vibed with Jae Pak.
During my consultation, Jae was honest with me is saying his initial focus is to fix my existing problem and if possible will work on thickening everything else. He said he’ll do his best at repairing but it might still be mildly visible. I was okay with that. The day of the procedure the entire team was so supportive and settling. The facility is by far the best I’ve ever seen. They have probably 3-5 technicians supporting the procedure. It is so clean and professional and they only book one patient at a time so there’s no rush. I really felt like they were going to take their time and do everything they can to help me. The entire staffs overall approach is very nurturing. Mash, David, Asia and all the technicians are awesome! :)
So they offered me a little cocktail and I was watching TV when I fell asleep before the doctor started on the incision only to wake up as the technicians are finishing with the implants. The doctor came in and said how great everything came out and he was even able to get more than anticipated graphs to use. I felt no pain, they provided lunch, and the overall process started at 8 and I was out by 2. They had me come in the next day for a checkup and mild wash. Of course the technicians came over to take a look with enthusiasm which was another sign they cared. The doctor came over and checked everything and answered all my questions. Just beyond pleased with the procedure.
Fast forward one year, Jae Pak fixed my initial problem and thickened my hair to where it looked so natural and full. Everywhere I went I’d have old friends ask me what I did differently for it wasn’t obvious but people knew something was different which is what I wanted. In posts and pics most comments reference how thick my hair is. After almost 7 years I decided to revisit Jae Pak to go for the gold and bring the hairline down and go even thicker.
I was nervous nonetheless but after speaking with Jae, I felt at ease. I went in and the first thing he asked me was “What is it about your hair that you don’t like?” allowing me to express myself so he can comprise a plan of action. He actually told me I don’t really need the surgery for my hair looks good. I noticed my hairline receding over the years and expressed this as my biggest concern plus over time my hair has thinned out a little even though it still looks good. He knew exactly what I wanted to accomplish
We went for it. 2,200 graphs! My surgery was scheduled within a couple weeks. I didn’t want to wait or talk myself out of it. He brought the hairline down, thickened the sides and top all the way back to the crown. He drew my new hairline and we spend about an hour customizing exactly how it will look symmetrically & esthetically pleasing before the surgery. After the procedure, I woke up and I can see the dots all the way around my head along with the precision and accuracy. The density was unreal. Fast forward months later, I waited to write this review for I wanted to provide honest feedback. My hairline is amazing! My hair is as thick as it was when I was 18! Jae outlined my corners so well giving me the natural look of a healthy youthful recede while lowering the entire hairline at least an inch. I’m so happy I can’t tell you what a difference he’s made in my life which is why I felt compelled to write this extensive review with the hopes you make the right decision and give Jae Pak and NHI a chance for they will exceed your expectations. Even in writing this review I don’t feel it gives them justice. So grateful! Thanks Doc and the entire staff at NHI. I'm referring all my fam & friends!
