Overall rating

Sometimes you may find a doctor that is professional, so incredibly qualified and experienced (maybe even revered for giving back to the community), and takes time to consider what you want, what is best for you and balances the medical with an incredible aesthetic artistry - poetry for your face. I went to see Dr. Griffiths in despair. My nose had collapsed. My headaches and sinus discomfort was near a crescendo and I didn't know what was possible. I couldn't bear the thought of a traditional cookie-cutter rhinoplasty to repair the damage, restore my nose to an actual nose and not a collapsed droopy sad mess tilting down. More than a little claustrophobic, I wasn't sure I could endure a traditional CAT scan which was necessary to understand both the structure and the medical problems. In the office, there is a dedicated CAT scan for nasal problems (and sinus) which lets one sit up straight while the device - completely open, no in and out at all, spins around one's head. Such incredible relief. There was a lot of "stuff", completely blocked and then my nose, which looked like I'd gone 12 rounds with a heavy-weight boxer, was medically collapsed. Dr. Griffiths booked me for a surgery, and the staff, so understanding, booked me for the soonest appointment, the first of the day. I had the necessary exam by my internist and was cleared for surgery. I arrived on time, and a nurse tucked me into the bed/table, making sure I was quite warm and relaxed. The anesthesiologist, friendly and professional which is the absolute most reassuring thing, explained what would happen, and then I counted backwards from ten and fell asleep. I woke up easily, no nausea, and got dressed. A light bandage/cast on my nose, no hangover from surgery at all and no bruising which was amazing. I went home, comfortable, and took a nap, waking up to have something to eat. Returning to the office in a couple of days, still no swelling or bruises and loving, just loving, the way my nose looked under the profile - not collapsed, far more feminine and breathing easily. The bandage/cast was removed in about a week or so, and my fears that this would let my nose collapse again were completely silly - it looked so good still. Dr. Griffiths is a happy doctor, attentive, listening patiently to my questions and reassuring completely. This was simply the best, and easy, and so comfortable. The staff are smiling, courteous, understanding and attentive. My recommendation is almost lyrical because it truly was SO happy and easy.
