WORTH IT
I had facial fat transfer and liposuction of the chin with Dr Motykie 2 months ago. First, I want to say that I am very happy! I love it and I have gotten lots of compliments (though I of course told no one) everyone just tells me I look really good but they can't put their finger on what it is, that is the best thing about this procedure. Another friend said I look like a model (and it's my little secret as to why.) Dr. Motykie is a genius. I knew from his own pictures he had a good eye, and I'm lucky to have found him. He and his staff were so personable, kind and outgoing that I felt I was in good hands but I was scared because I wanted to know I had picked the right surgeon, I mean, it's MY FACE! His very kind staff Maricella and Menal told me that I should have no fears. I am so glad I listened to them because to see the results...I just want to apologize to them and the doctor for having anxiety about how it would turn out in the first place. Dr. Motykie is a rock star.

The one thing I would say if you are considering this procedure is that, at least for me, it took a long time to see the results. I didn't really realize was how long it would take me to recover from the procedure. They say two weeks for recovery, and I was recovered (i.e. healthy, not in any pain) but I did not look normal for over a month and a half, it took almost 2 months to look good/not too big in the cheeks. This is because the surgeon overfills the area because a lot of the fat will die, so it really can't be helped. If you work in a job where it doesn't matter what you look like then the two weeks should be fine (meaning you might be puffy and maybe a little fake looking even after two weeks) for me, a month was more accurate. I wasn't hiding out but not ready to work with new people looking that way. All people heal differently, it may not be another person's experience at all. What took the longest, and is still healing, is the chin lipo. I was afraid and regretful at first because it was swollen and lumpy and tight. Definitely don't panic (like I did) it will change and look good! Mine is still healing actually so it might be another month or so before it is ideal.

Dr. M was also amazing enough to straighten my nose (a surgery from a different doctor) after it had shifted a bit to the side, it looks so much better now. He truly is gifted and has an excellent eye for detail. He also is funny and has a great bedside manner, I just can't say enough nice things about him.

The other thing I would like to mention is his staff, who are all so kind and warm. I want to thank Sandi, Diana, and especially Maricella who went totally above and beyond when the surgery had to be postponed for a day because of a building issue that was out of their control. She made sure to more than make up for the stress with such generosity. Also of particular note is his wonderful nurse Menal. She took excellent care of me the day of my surgery and she came to see me the day after. She even brought me pizza! Menal also gave me her personal phone number so I could call her anytime I needed to. I was a total pain too (I mean a basket case!) because I was so scared about it not turning out right and the healing was slow. She was so patient and answered all of my questions and was very supportive. She just seems to really care about people and she was a real comfort --love her.

I am planning to do another procedure with Dr. M in the next few months at which time I may add a little more fat to the areas where the fat doesn't stay. I probably won't know the full results for another 2 or 3 months. He has definitely won over my loyalty completely. I don't want to post pictures because it's my face (I would for body stuff, but not face) but I would that if you considering fat transfer, it might take longer to heal than you might imagine, but for me it was totally worth it. The other thing is to have a supportive home situation --which I did not have. Fat transfer is both subtle and dramatic. You can't tell why but you just look prettier.

Thank you for joining and beginning the journey with us.  I would definitely like to see your pictures, and also be kept up to date as you have the additional procedures done.

Hi was just wondering about how much was the procedure ? And how long was it ? Could you eat food regularly after surgery?
