Would Only Trust Dr. Katzen with 6-procedures at Once! - Los Angeles, CA

After having had gastric sleeve surgery in 2013...
After having had gastric sleeve surgery in 2013 and having lost 100 lbs, rather than be elated with my new body I was sad with my bat wings, droopy shrunken breasts, and hanging belly. Countless hours at the gym were never going to fix these problems, believe me, I tried. I set out to consult with six different plastic surgeons and one after the next made me feel worse and worse about myself. Mind you, at the time I was 135 lbs and a size 0/2. The first one convinced me that I needed a full circumferential body lift, breast lift with implants, full arm tuck, full thigh tuck. Of course all of this came at a hefty $52,000 price tag. The second one convinced me that I needed all of the above in addition to a butt implant. That came with a hefty $50,000 price tag. By the time I met with the third and fourth plastic surgeons I was deflated…literally. Their quotes were also far lower ($14,000 and $22,000) but it was also clear to me that their experience with post-bariatric patients was not there and ultimately you get what you pay for. Dr. Katzen was the fifth plastic surgeon I consulted with. I’ll be honest, at that point I felt like a train wreck that only upwards of $50,000 could fix, and all cash because insurance wouldn’t cover any of my “vanity” procedures. I walked into his Beverly Hills office (literally around the corner from Rodeo Dr.) with a chip on my shoulder ready to be told all it would take to make me beautiful for a small fortune. I was so relieved to find that he was so knowledgeable and kind and the opposite of arrogant. His price, $28,000 for an extended tummy tuck and liposuction, breast lift with implants (I also ended up having a biopsy of a mass found in my breast), torsoplasty and full arm tuck. It was exactly everything I needed and at a bargain if you compare the first two surgeons. But that wasn’t what impressed me the most about Dr. Katzen, prior to my surgery he saw me twice more for pre-op appointments. We discussed the procedure at length, he explained to me that it would be 11 hours long and that he would come see me at the after care facility for as long as I remained there. Despite being a mother to three small children, I felt 100% safe in his hands. After my procedures he saw me almost on a weekly basis for the first four weeks, then at 6 weeks, 8 weeks and what feels like a million times more in the four ½ months since my surgery. I feel better and stronger than ever before. His after-care has been amazing, he is so patient, kind and pro-active. I would never trust another plastic surgeon like I do Dr. Katzen. He is truly an amazing man and such a skilled surgeon.

I updated pics
Can you post pictures. I think I'm in a similar position and I'm looking at this dr seriously. I am very slim @size 2-4 now but I have a lot of excess skin on my stomach, inner thigh, breasts, and arms. I'd love to see your scar (especially tummy and arms). Did you have to stay at the after care facility for several days? Is that included in the $28,000 or was that more $$$?

The $28,000 included two nights at the aftercare facility. However, I ended up staying an extra night and that was an additional $850.00. I'm not going to lie, recovery was brutal for the first three weeks. After that I had a turning point and have not looked back since. My arm scars are not visible from the front with my arms down or from behind. I have to literally raise my arms in the position in the pictures to notice them. My tummy scar hides in all of my panties. Dr. Katzen made it lower for me than a typical TT scar per my request.
How long did it take you to feel good again after all that surgery? I am suppose to travel to a beach vacation four months after my scheduled extended tummy tuck, breast lift, and arm tuck. I'm wondering if I should wait on the surgery until after the vacation....but I really don't want to wait anymore.
Thanks so much for the pics! Your arms look great!!
