Precision Tx - No Improvement, in Fact a Little Worse

ORIGINAL POST

My dr said I was a great candidate for precision...

My dr said I was a great candidate for precision tx - I wanted to get rid of excess skin on my neck/under chin area, and do something about jowls. I just had my 2nd follow up appt, and they took photos but didn't even show them to me... the dr came in and said he looked at them and admitted there was no difference. I feel like it looks worse - now there are obvious bands (cords?) that make me look older.
He says that he will do the whole thing again at no cost, but I'm dreading going through it again. I had to wear a compression garment for a week and had terrible bruises, and I'm just finally getting all the feeling back. I don't know why a 2nd time would work if the 1st didn't?

what is precision treatment. I never heard of it.

What did he say he would do differently the second time??

I was a little confused about that, but I think he said he would use "more heat"? He looked at my chart and threw out some technical stuff - I think he said he used 75,000 with the laser, and the average is 50,000-100,000?
So your dr also wants to do it over again?

I agree! My Dr said same thing to me! And I feel I look worst! Im so upset. The bands are terrible now, the sagging has come back and now I even have a lump in my neck!

Sorry to bug: I am 2 weeks post procedure and am hoping that "time will heal" but I look more saggy and have strange bumps those horrible lines that I didn't have. I realized Precision TX was not going to fix everything, but I didn't think i would look worse. Can you tell me if you decided to go again, did it get any better, and how are you now? Looking at photos of surgical neck lifts I just can't bring myself to do it. I never wanted scars all around my ears and hairline, but now I am afraid I might be forced to....or take out stock in turtleneck companies!

Hey. Try a radiofrequency microneedling treatment--there are multiple brands--best are Infini or Vivace. I did 3 treatments of Vivace. I'm now on 2 out of 3 Profractional treatments. They're helping...for early lines...I'm 29, but showing neck aging early..but go to my profile. However, for serious results you probably want some a more aggressive non-ablative/ ablative laser combo for your neck. You have to be careful on the neck because the skin doesn't heal like the face. However, if you are willing to be put under, you can get a more aggressive ablative laser on your neck for better results--not a series. You will have downtime, but probably not as a long as the 2 weeks for a full necklift.

DON'T do Infini the risks are to high. Can cause facial fat loss and can be devastating.

It seems he gave you the wrong advise. I am older than you (assuming) and thinking about getting a neck lift. This I because I am older, and you lose fat, and get more obvious things showing, like what you mentioned. I would guess that taking out fat would be better as they could be careful on the amount, but even then it sounds chancy. Hey, Im not a dr, just an observer of a lot of these (doing my homework). It looks (just looking at the pic) that you might need fat put it now. I would really go to another dr, or two and get their opinions, even if you go back to that dr, to make sure he is doing the right procedure for you. Good luck! :)

Also, sorry I just saw this (I don't know or recommend this dr, just looking at how he was explaining the (bands) as you did. https://www.realself.com/question/what-botox-neck-lift It seems he may know a thing or two about it?

No improvement after a year, refund refused

Kellygreen7
Last year I cancelled my appt to have precision TX done again, and instead met with the doctor to see if there were any other solutions. I tried to bring up a refund, since there was no difference after $5k spent, and he got kind of hostile. He said something about "realistic expectations" and I pointed out that HE had said there was no difference during my follow up. Then he said that in the several months that I had to wait to meet with him again that it had changed, and that some patients take longer to see results. He dismissed me and told me he would give me one treatment of Kybella on the house (which is what I had asked for in the first place), even though it's supposed to take 6 treatments to work. I left without getting the Kybella (as I had plans the next day, and they said it would cause swelling and bruising) and haven't been back.
I've been thinking about asking him if the offer still stands to have the laser TX do-over! I get so depressed looking at my neck. I was just checking on here to see if other people had luck, and thought I would update my review.

It's terrible that you didn't get any results at all. I'm getting mine done this 12/18/17 Monday But I'm getting liposuction with it. In fact, my doctor said precision TX always done with liposuction. Did you get Lipo?

Did you end up getting it done? How did it turn out?

had the procedure done again

Kellygreen7
I finally had the Precision TX done again in early October. He did liposuction and laser both times, and was more aggressive the 2nd time. I'm guessing because of that the recovery was a little harder as well. I've had friends tell me it looks good, but I don't know if they're just saying that.I think it looks gross when I look in the mirror, but I've pretty much decided to let it go and stop obsessing about it.
It definitely is kind of tucked in where I had loose skin and a weak chin, although it looks kind of like someone tried to strangle me. I had a follow up last week, and he said that I still have scar tissue that should continue to tighten.

Who was this doctor?

How is it looking now? There is improvement for sure but....I think I'm lole you where I'd want things a little more dramatic without the issues that bother you. I just had mine done and it looks terrible....granted I'm only a week post OP! If you don't mind, is like to message you with some questions as I fear I may get problems similar to you!

I thought it could take up to 8 months plus for results

Sorry to read that you had a bad experience with the procedure results. I had the same procedure, and I had wonderful results. My doctor explained that this procedure you need to have good skin elasticity, no fat under the platysma muscle. It "sucks" the excess fat over the muscle. Perhaps Precisiontx wasn't the proper you needed. Maybe have the area reassessed to see what can be done about the skin laxity.

sorry for the typos, typed in too quickly. Hopefully you get this area fixed.
