WORTH IT$500
I wanted fuller lips for years. Finally got one syringe of Juvederm Ultra XC with Dr. Rahimi, who I've gone to previously for laser with sculptra and sclerotherapy. He is a fantastic doctor that explains everything thoroughly as he's completing the procedure. He also generously gave me a $100 discount, although $600 for a syringe of juvederm ultra xc is very reasonable. When I arrived at my appointment, I was greeted by the friendly staff and immediately brought into a room where numbing cream was applied to my lips. The cream is left on for about 20 minutes. After I was sufficiently numbed, Dr Rahimi injected the filler, explaining how and why he was injecting into certain areas. He also explained what the result will look like, natural and no trout pout of course. The injections didn't really hurt, just a little pinch. He asked for my feedback and made corrections where it was needed. I then hung out to ice my lips for fifteen minutes or so, then took an uber home.
I couldn't stop looking at my lips, I absolutely love them! There was some swelling that evening that was gone by the next day, enough to where I was comfortable going out in public. Initially, I was nervous because the swelling was uneven. I read that this is normal and everything would even out. I had the procedure done on a Saturday, by Monday I was on a flight to Vegas. I recommend allowing at least two days of recovery before a big event. There was a tiny bit of bruising the next few days, easily covered with lipstick. Dr Rahimi advised to start with one syringe and add more later if desired. The final result took about two weeks. While I'm very glad I started with one syringe, I want to add at least another half of a syringe for more volume and I definitely will go back to Dr. Rahimi.
