Started tray 3 today

Had my appointment today. The ortho watched me take tray 2 off to see if I was doing it correctly and and he put in tray 3 to see how they fit. They fit well, so he gave me tray 4 as well and wants me to return in a month. I asked about these lines that appeared on some of my teeth, I was scared that they were cracking due to the pressure of the trays. He said the pressure is not strong enough to crack teeth, and that teeth are very strong. He also said he could buff out those lines. Now I think that maybe those lines are from some of the resin used to make my attachments sipping down my teeth. When the attachments are removed and buffed out, those lines will hopefully be buffed out as well. I also asked the ortho why some people change trays every week, or every 10 days, instead of two full weeks. ( I guess I was hopping he would tell me I could switch faster too!) He said that it was not a good idea and that he didn't know why some dentists allow that. He said that when teeth move with each tray the bone needs time to harden and support the tooth root in its new place, so two weeks are necessary for proper movement. I am ok with that.
Also, the Invisalign diet is not working as I have hoped. I have not lost weight. I don't snack in between meals anymore but I eat more during my three meals which makes up for those snack calories. I need to make a conscious decision to eat less during my three meals along with no snacking for me to lose weight. Also asked my ortho to email me my Clincheck and have watched it a few times to see what movements I should expect. This encourages me alot!
Eating out has become a pain. I have to go to the bathroom to remove my trays and rinse out the saliva from them. Then, after my meal, go into a stall and brush with disposable toothbrushes (which don't feel like they are doing a good job and brushing), and rinse with a travel size mouthwash. I do this inside a stall to avoid looks. Now I rather pick up food than go to a sit down restaurant.
My mom, daughter and I see a difference in my teeth already (only a month into my treatment) but my husband doesn't. Can't wait for more noticeable changes in the weeks to come!
PS: tray 3 is not painful at all, just feel some pressure on certain teeth.

Have been self-conscious of my teeth for a long...

Have been self-conscious of my teeth for a long time but for one reason or another have not gotten braces. My main problem is my two front upper teeth bend inward (towards each other) and the lower right canine tooth is also pushed out a bit (this does not bother me as much). Finally made up my mind and started researching Invisalign on Youtube and this site. Then I made several appointments (free consultations) until I found my orthodontist who gave me this incredible price. (Average cost in Los Angeles is 5k.) Also make sure you are getting Invisalign and not Clearcorrect or other similar aligners. On my first consultation the technician took x rays, photos, and impressions of my teeth. The impression process was two fold, first they fill a tray with putty, take impressions and then put a different putty on top of the impressions and take impressions again. This process was quick and did not make me gag. Six weeks later I had my second appointment because the trays had arrived. I was placed on the chair and the technician showed me a print out of my teeth and where each tooth would have an attachment. The attachment process was quick (20 or so minutes) and pain free. All they do is wipe a sour tasting solution over your teeth (only the ones that will have attachments) and them they fill the trays with a paste only on the parts that have the bubbles already built in. They put the trays into your mouth and light up the areas where the attachments/paste are. This causes the paste/attachments to stick and harden/glue to your teeth. The trays are taken out and any paste that harden into other areas of your teeth get filed away. Then the technician showed me how to put the trays in and take them out. Also went over how to clean them (tooth paste and toothbrush, and retainer brite tablets). Then, I asked to see my clincheck which is a video created by the lab that shows how each tray will move the teeth. This was very exciting, and I will pretty much have my two problem teeth straight in four months ( I will have 16 trays total). Then I was given a second set of trays (I was wearing the first set) and given an appointment in one month. Each tray is worn at least 22 hours for two weeks. Next appointment the ortho will check that my teeth are moving correctly then and give me additional trays. Also, I won't have to have my teeth shaved to make room in my mouth!! so I am happy about that. A lot of people have to have this done.

My first two days wearing them have gone ok. My teeth are sore and tender, it hurts to chew, so I will start having shakes for breakfast and lunch. Hoping to lose the last 10 lbs to reach my ideal weight as a by product of this procedure (some people call this the Invisalign diet). I don't snack anymore because it hurts and makes eating not enjoyable, plus I have to floss and brush after everything I eat before putting the trays back in, so not worth it. Also want to optimize my tray wear time so I am not willing to snack.

I am hoping the soreness will go away by tomorrow, based on what I have read from other people. Will post again in a moth after my appointment.

My ortho was very nice and courteous, however it was his technician (don't remember his name) that did the impressions and attachments.
