I saw this procedure online with another company a few years ago. This year, I decided to get it done here in the LA area. Initially, I was surprised at the price but found out that this procedure requires three sessions. As it turns out, this is a good deal. Actually the best deal for SMP out there. I was very happy that I selected the New Hair Institute (NHI) because I discovered in my research, the doctors at NHI are pioneers in the field of medical hair restoration. Who better to perform this than someone who was instrumental in pioneering a procedure that works.
As for the procedure, I chose to have a local anesthetic instead of general anesthesia. The only discomfort I felt was the application of the numbing agent. This was made more tolerable by the use of laughing gas during the actual numbing. As a comparison, getting a tooth pulled is far more painful than any portion of this procedure.
The office is clean and professional looking. The staff is beyond great. My technician made sure that I was comfortable at all times and went to any length to ensure that I felt no discomfort. Since the procedure is long (seven hours per session), Netflix and Pandora are available in the treatment room for patients. Your choice of movies or music. The service is better than a first class cross-Atlantic flight.
If you are serious about SMP, go to the New Hair Institute to get it done. The price point is good, the service is excellent and the results speak for themselves. I look and feel great.

Your hair looks great! Thank you for taking the time to share your personal experience with SMP. What is the recovery like? Do you know approximately how many dots were placed on your scalp to achieve your look?
Thanks for your reply - I know with regular tattoos you keep them out of the sun during the healing stage (and of course as much as you can) Were you instructed to do the same, and will you need to wear sunblock during long hours of sun exposure?
