I saw this procedure online with another company a...
As for the procedure, I chose to have a local anesthetic instead of general anesthesia. The only discomfort I felt was the application of the numbing agent. This was made more tolerable by the use of laughing gas during the actual numbing. As a comparison, getting a tooth pulled is far more painful than any portion of this procedure.
The office is clean and professional looking. The staff is beyond great. My technician made sure that I was comfortable at all times and went to any length to ensure that I felt no discomfort. Since the procedure is long (seven hours per session), Netflix and Pandora are available in the treatment room for patients. Your choice of movies or music. The service is better than a first class cross-Atlantic flight.
If you are serious about SMP, go to the New Hair Institute to get it done. The price point is good, the service is excellent and the results speak for themselves. I look and feel great.
Provider Review
On my initial meeting with Dr. Pak, I was surprised that he had a very friendly demeanor and did not have a snobby or "I'm better than you are" attitude that I experienced with other physicians in the field of cosmetic surgery. He's a down to earth guy with a strong intuitive sense of what his patients are looking for. This intuitiveness comes from his years of experience and his very creative technical mind. Dr. Pak is certainly not a run-of-the-mill hair transplant specialist. He is responsible for designing, testing and building a robotic system to aid in the single hair extraction process used in hair transplant procedures. This robotic system is not only used in his office but in hair transplant clinics throughout the U.S. and around the world. In short, his invention revolutionized hair transplantation as it is done today. As for the Scalp Micro Pigmentation (SMP) procedure, again he is a pioneer. He studied along side the man who originally developed SMP. Dr. Pak took what he learned with him and refined the procedure to truly make it his own. His analytical approach to every case he treats only improves the process for future patients. I was a witness to this analytical approach during my SMP sessions. I could clearly see that Dr. Pak was thoroughly examining the work done on my scalp and making mental notes for later use. He did not examine the progress on my scalp with a cookie cutter approach. Instead, he took great interest in how my skin was reacting and holding the pigment; suggesting modifications to the inking techniques to the technician when necessary. In my book, Dr. Pak rates as one of the exceptionally few qualified doctors to perform Scalp Micro Pigmentation.
