No Change with Two Sessions of Secret RF Microneedling

I had two sessions of Secret RF Microneedling for a combination of rolling and ice pick scars. I haven't seen any change, and in fact the second session left me so red and in a lot of discomfort. I still feel that the radiofrequency might have been too strong for my very white skin. I'm not sure if I should go for a third session although my doc said I will need a minimum of three sessions. I also feel like I have some mild discoloration now, like I was in the sun for too long and now am pigmented. Any thoughts?

Yes it has definitely improved and I went to another doctor who recommended I continue the microneedling in the winter time. In the meantime we filled in deeper scars with Juvederm and I love the results. I also use a vitamin C serum 15% which I think has made my complexion just smoother in general. I will have my third microneedling session in November, and a fourth a few months afte that, but we won't go as strong with the radiofrequency this time. She also recommended a Retin A cream in the winter for some discoloration that I have.

For ice pick scars, it's recommend to do the cross TCA peel. I also suffer from acne scars and done micro needling, fractional co2 laser, fillers, tca peels, microneedling and microdermabrasion. So much money, I wish one treatment could do the trick. The CO2 laser resurfacing is the best treatment to remove pitted scars, but since my skin is not as light and more in the olive tone, I'm not a candidate and the Drs don't want to do it on me. Otherwise I would have done it years ago.

In my experience deep tissue collagen production for permanent improvement after any thermal procedure such as laser or RF microneedling takes at least 6 months to see a result. The appearance the day after treatment with swelling may approximate what you can experience at 6 months

If I were you, I would research subcision for ice pick scars. I had a very large indented scar on my forehead from a surgery and after one treatment, it’s so much better. I’ve read it is a very good solution for any indented scars.
