I had a hard time finding another review around my age with my intentions, and I hope my story and experience can help another woman who is struggling with making serious decisions about her body.
I had my BA 10 years ago, I was young, naive, and obsessed with becoming more busty. I chose 380 HP Mentor saline implants (under the muscle) which my surgeon filled to 420. I had a miserable recovery due to the massive amount of stretching my muscle and skin underwent. I also was immediately terrified of my large, mound like breasts! I was a 32B pre surgery and a 32D/DD post surgery. I never had any complications with my implants. In the more recent years, however, I found this physical change was affecting my relationships with people. Not just physically and in romantic relationships, but socially with everyone. I was stereotyped & judged. I spent a solid year exploring myself & my place in the world, and decided it was time to return to my physical body. It became very important to me to honor the figure I was given, and I was ready, despite the possibility of a less than pretty outcome, to remove my implants. I had seen various doctors years ago when I debated going to a smaller implant and had really liked Dr. Motykie (Los Angeles). He was the only doctor out of 8 I saw that didn't insist on needing a breast lift, and the only one I felt really listened to what I wanted. I contacted his staff & virtually consulted again with him. We discussed my options and fat grafting became a possibility. I am 5'3" & approx 105 pds. My little fat was limited to my thighs/hips. Luckily during the surgery he was able to graft 300ccs into each breast. My recovery was very easy considering the initial BA experience. I wore compression garments for a week until the stitches were removed and then switched to spanx and a sports bra. It has been 16 days from surgery & my breasts have decreased in volume since my stitches were removed. I'm sure some of that is reduction in the swelling associated with the surgery, and a portion is also fat that was grafted that did not adhere to tissue. I have been on a high (healthy) fat diet and have gained back the weight I 'lost' post surgery. I plan to continue to healthfully gain additional weight so that we can perform another lipo/fat grafting in the near future which I believe will help with the fullness I'm lacking. I'm beyond pleased with the results. I can't believe how pretty my breasts are! I see myself so differently now. I had a beautiful experience with Dr. Motykie & his amazing staff, and would recommend him to anyone. Everyone in the office has a calming, loving demeanor and they all listened to what I wanted to accomplish.

I am in almost the same situation as you. 10 years in with saline implants! I have actually been quite happy with mine, but I didn’t consider that this was going to be a every 10-15 year surgery. I would like to just get them out and do the fat transfer. Were you able to have the fat grafting done at the same time as your explant? I am looking for a planting surgeon who is willing to do both because I would be coming from Canada.
Thank you, xoxox
