47 Yrs Old Mini Facelift and Upper Eyelids Blepharoplasty

At age 47 I was having premature aging occurring in my face. I could see rings developing in my neck and loose skin under my chin (turkey waddle), my cheeks were sagging and developing into jowls which in turn was pulling my mouth downward making me look unhappy. On the left side of my face (the personal and inner world) the sagging was more prominent. My upper eyelids had a lot of extra skin and I was very self conscious about it as I also wear glasses which magnifies it. I had originally planned to wait until I was 50 to do this procedure but, I decided why wait for another 2 more years! The before photos you see were taken right before going into surgery (I was rather stressed out and nervous) and the after photos are exactly one week later (so, I am still somewhat swollen in my face and my eyes are still healing). I did not look at myself in the mirror until the 6th day after the surgery as I wanted to wait until some of the swelling had gone down. I am happy I waited as I am delighted so far with the results. I am a little surprised at how quickly I am recovering after such a major surgery. I do still have some swelling and tenderness but, little to no bruising. There is tightness in my neck, lower face and around my ears which seems to be getting better each day as I perform light stretching/movement and massage. I have been drinking a lot of water, eating fresh foods, watched some comedies, doing light stretching/yoga movement in the mornings and have a wonderful man in my life helping to take care of me. Do I feel that I look better after having done the procedures? Absolutely!
