43 and First Botox and Fillers, Ever - Los Angeles, CA

Ok so. I am 43 and a mother of one. I have never had any fillers so I was quite anxious and scared. At one point, I had shunned anyone who got botox wondering why anyone would get "that poison" injected into their face. I was not a believer and have seen so many faces that had terrible outcomes.
My good friend and I decided one day that we wanted to get cool-sculpt done. I liked that it was non-invasive and still produced results. We booked an appointment for cool-sculpt with Enhance Medical Center and we flew down to LA for our appointment. I also wanted to try getting something done for my non-existent upper lip so I told them I wanted fillers for my lip, as well. My friend added botox to her list, so naturally I wanted to try botox as well.
As we got ready for our cool-sculpting session (I had pictures taken of all angles of my mid-section), Dr. Johnson Lee came in to talk about what fillers I may need for my lips. I asked if these fillers could be used for my laugh lines and he suggested using a different filler. I forgot which fillers he used but I know we used 3 different fillers because as I was sitting with numbing cream on my face, Dr. Lee suggested botox for my furrow between my eyes plus preventative forehead wrinkling AND my temples to lift the edges of my eyebrows. I had come this far both in distance and injections, I said what else should I get? I told Dr. Lee, "just do it all"!
So, here is the breakdown of what I got done:
Botox - in forehead, between eyes and jaw area (to slim my face, of course), near temples
Fillers- cheek bone area, laugh lines and lips.
I walked in thinking I was only getting cool-sculpt and lips filled but left with a liquid lift and cool-sculpt and I love it. I was terrified the first few days after the injections because I was bruised and swollen. The fillers were not my favorite - they hurt so much. The lips were not that bad but oh wow, the cheeks made my eyes tear up.
After 3 days as promised, my lips looked less alien and all the pain has gone away. My results are me, just refreshed and I will definitely go bigger with the lips next time. Nothing was overdone. I loved every suggestion and love the outcome. These recommendations would never have been possible if I didn't instantly trust Dr. Lee. He made me feel comfortable and due to his willingness to share his knowledge of outcomes and letting me know when that needle was coming was greatly appreciated. I am the biggest wimp but he told me very matter-of-factly about pain levels. I can't believe it took me this long to do this. Dr. Lee made it so easy.
The office was very pretty and soothing. All the staff are amazing and have a wealth of knowledge. I am already writing down my strategy for my next visit.

I am 43 and swore I would never get Botox. I was just scared. I actually went in to Dr. Lee for fillers in my upper lift. I really needed Botox so when he suggested it, I said ok. I love the effects of Botox and I love my lips. Nothing was too overdone. It really looks like me, just better. I live in SF but I will be flying down to see only Dr. Lee. The differences are subtle but I definitely see a difference. Loved everything you suggested, thank you Dr. Lee!
