This is why sometimes you need to wait past the three months mark. My right breast took a long time to drop. I feel it was closer to a year to get my results. Now I am very happy and cannot recommend my doctor enough for fixing my deformed breasts.

Saw Real Changes after 8 months

This is an overdue update. I will eventually post a photo someday, but I wanted to update because in my case my right breast took A LONG time to fully drop. My breasts are still slightly asymmetrical and always will be, but they look great and such a change from where they began. I think people forget plastic surgery does not give instant results and some of us do not see our results until later than 3+ months down the line. This was the case with me, and I am sorry I didn't trust my surgeon and the results.

Thank you. I finally posted an updated photo. Such a stark difference. I hope it sheds light on the fact sometimes it takes much longer than three months to fully drop.

Finally dropped, but...

First of all, I am happy to have boobs after being flat chested for most of my life. I feel like more of a woman. There's many things I like about my breasts. I understand perfect asymmetry is impossible and I had two differently shaped breasts to begin with. But the volume of my right breast is significantly smaller. I waited a long time and would like to have more symmetry. I will inquire about revision for my right breast only.

Hi there, Am I correct in my thinking that your right breast was the larger one to begin with but now it’s the smaller one? I admire your positive attitude in being able to appreciate the improvements. However I do see your concerns, especially in the second pic. It is interesting how breasts can look very different from different angles. You may also want try to shoot your breasts with the lighting coming straight on so shadows don’t distort the size of breast one versus the other. Just a suggestion. In any case it does look like a revision is in order, imo. And I hope you can work things out with your PS. Btw from what I know most PS usually do not like to do revisions for size difference for at least six months to one year PO. I personally think it’s not a bad idea to wait well beyond 6 months, since your breasts will probably continue to change up to the first year postop. I also had a BL with implants and recently underwent a revision at 10 post op for areola asymmetry. The one good thing about my revision (which is the case with many revisions) was that there was much less trauma and less blood source compromise than the initial surgery. For one much less skin was removed and implant pocket was already there. I have a good feeling this will be the case with you as well. In the meantime I would continue enjoying that your overall appearance is much improved. That’s what kept me going during the interim prior my revisions. I look forward to following your progress. :-)

I am not unhappy, nor do I blame my surgeon. I think he did a good job for a challenging case. And my boobs are so much better than my before pics, which I consider to have been a real deformity. But if I can get them to look better then I will. And thank you for your advice.

Hi again, yes I totally understand. I was also happy with my results. And I feel the same way about my PS; he’s actually one of the best PS in this country for this type of surgery. And honestly I probably wouldn’t have done the revision had my PS not offered to do it for free. This surgery has a very high revision rate; and often times it’s to no fault of the surgeon. Skin and tissue differences on each side can cause the breasts to heal differently which is something the PS can’t control. That was the case with me. I was very symmetrical immediately following surgery, but over a period of time one side got slightly lower than the other side. And of course I’ve seen people that have had the opposite experience; the assymetry they experience in the beginning balances out over time.... Good luck and wishing you the best! :-)

What a big difference! You look great! You are still early in your post op and I'm sure you will drop more. Maybe a bandeau will help with the asymmetry. Ask
Your PS about wearing one. I too was asymmetrical pre-op and at 3 months you could tell but after a month and wearing the bandeau at night, my left breast dropped dramatically. Congratulations on your new self!

Thank you. There is some issue with my profile of my right breast. It is very flat at the top, so not sure dropping is the full answer. But I understand I am still early.
