Moving right along here. I had a minor setback in both motivation and energy to workout a few weeks back. I had just started to feel I could get back to where I was working out and I got kidney stones! They were extremely painful and I ended up with an infection as well. I am almost done with the antibiotics and hoping that once I am done my energy will return. Even though I have this flat belly now, I feel like my butt is getting bigger! Drinking a TON of water and praying I passed it! Haven't felt pain in a week but never saw it?! Doc said it was 5mm so you would think I would have seen it pass. Anyhow, took some pics this morning. I'm still down in weight from pre-op which makes me happy although I'd be happy with at least 5-10 more lbs lost. Tummy is flat, scars are doing ok. Not excited about one side lift scar-will talk with PS office at next weeks appointment. My swollen who-ha has gone down a lot! I forget to put on my spanx some days and realize I don't really need it. Still wear binder to do housework or exercise. Happy healing everyone!

You look great! I'm so SORRy to hear about your kidney stone issue. I know exactly what you we're feeling. I had a kidney stone attack last June rushed to hospital and also had a infection. Mine were too big to pass and bc I had the infection the could not son the lithotripsy right away. Well the stones were causing a blockages so I ended up having to get a stent put Inn for 7 weeks. It was not fun at all!!

Thank you! Omg! Was the stent painful? It just sounds bad, they told me with the size it was 50/50 whether I could pass at home or require a stent. I mean the pain of the stone itself when it moves is more painful than anything. This is the second time I've had them - very frustrating!

The stent being put in was not painful because they put me to sleep. While it's in it's just annoying. You have string hanging out(like a tampon). I was constantly bloated. IF YOU MOVe certain ways you can tell there is some weird object in there. As far as painful..... no I wouldn't say that. Mine were way too big to pass. That was not even an option for me. I think kidney stone should truly was worse then childbirth

Wow yes I agree pain is worse than childbirth. Thanks for all your info!!

Goodness! Kidney stones sound so horrible! I'm sorry you dealt with that. I hope you passed it or that it magically disappeared. You're looking amazing!! I wonder why that one scar is acting up. Your scars look great. Mine were getting red for a while but I think it was a reaction to the act treatment because I stopped using it and now my scars look very much like yours.

How are you?! Thank you so much. They re certainly no walk in the park! I just don't know about the scar. I'm with you on thinking maybe it's best to leave it alone. Before this surgery I never bothered myself with scar treatments of any kind. Granted the largest scar I had previous was a larger wound on my knee from a track fall years ago but still it healed nicely without much treatment.

Oh that makes sense, maybe it's a reaction to the scar treatment too? I bet you're right that you'll heal just fine given time. I had a c-section scar (from two c-sections, and it still healed great) as well as appendix removal, and they ended up in faint silvery lines. It just takes like 1-1.5 years! I bet yours will do the same. I hope that scar stops bothering you and no more kidney stones!

Hope you are feeling better and get your energy back soon!!! You look fantastic, super flat:)) I have to get better with my water intake too! It is harder when you become more active. Does the tea help? Is it worth buying?

Thank you! It is hard to remember water when you're moving back into daily life. My doc said to make sure my urine is light yellow to clear-so I always check and remind myself lol. The tea! It is really great to help move your bowels. The first ingredient in the Dr Mings Pineapple tea is Senna which I learned later is a laxative. If I drink it at night before bed, I wake in the am and have to go (clockwork). So I'm sure that aids in swelling in general. I enjoy tea before bed anyhow, so I still drink the pineapple at night.

It can't be 2 months already??

Wow looked at the calendar and it's true, it's been 2 months! I've been healing great. I've been using silicone strips now for about 3.5 weeks (I wear them all day/ night and remove for shower). I just put my last strip on my left breast since it's finally not scabby or open anywhere. I mostly use bio oil and cocoa butter all over, but am on the market for a good scar cream. My BB has a slight "ropey" feel inside or at least 2 bumps I want to ask my PS about. My swelling has gone down quite a bit - although not in the pubic area. I wear some kind of compression still day and night. I don't see my PS until August, so I'm just doing what I think and have been kind of "on my own". I have a ton of questions lined up for him lol!! I've said it before and I'll say it again- this surgery and even the pain was completely worth it!!

Thanks so much! I'm using the silagen my PS gave me-I have zero clue how much it will cost to replace them and they're losing stick. But I think worth it no matter the cost

Before & After fun - almost 7 weeks PO

So I've been pretty darn swollen lately and feeling bummed about that. I decided to take some"after" pics in same position as the "before" I feel better already :). I don't go long without my binder or spanx, still wearing 24/7. I walked on the treadmill today and did some squats and leg slides-it didn't feel terrible so I think I can move up the speed a little more. Doing breast massages daily. My sleep is just ok-I sleep good one night then terrible the next night. I'm able to kind of sleep on my side, but not as much as I'd like. I really need to drink more water. In the beginning that's all I did, now that life is back in full swing I tend to forget. I started the silicone sheets 2 weeks ago so the jury is still out on those. They are kind of a pain to have to remove to shower and may look into something else.....

What cg do you wear to workout?
User Avatar

I have nothing special still. The only thing I've purchased that I actually have liked is the high waisted spanx. So I wore that along with my trusty ol binder. I've purchased three different types from Amazon - all of which were returned for either non enough compression or too small. I'm still on the market.
