Provider Review

Oculoplastic Surgeon, Board Certified in Ophthalmology
75 Froehlich Farm Blvd., Woodbury, New York
Overall rating

I had an upper blepharoplasty by this dr about a year ago. The positive (and why he rec'd two stars): his staff is very caring and conscientious, and he did do a few things to try to "fix" his mistakes (more on that below). Unfortunately it was mostly a miserable experience for two reasons: 1) My results are awful...my eyes are NOT symmetrical- while no one's eyes are perfectly symmetrical, the asymmetry is obvious and I am going to have to pay for revision surgery this summer to fix what this dr did...looking back, he never even measured my eyelids pre-surgery to make sure that the incisions would be even; and 2) While I do like his staff, no one truly took the time to prepare me for what the healing process was like afterwards. It took about a month for the bruising to go away, and my eyes were swollen for many many days. All of that is fine, but I was lead to believe that the healing process was much faster. This dr is also rude (in front of patients) to his staff which is very disconcerting. This did dr gave me (complimentary) Botox to lower my right eyelid (it is raised higher than my left eyelid) and to raise my left eyelid. But I do not want to keep getting Botox to counteract the effects of bad surgery. And I do not trust him to do revision surgery- if he did a poor job the first time, what can I really expect the second time?? I am now in the process of setting up revision surgery from another well-known oculoplastic surgeon. I do apologize if you've made it this far reading my review...but I am wary of posting pictures because of what I do for a living in the public "eye" :( However...my advice to everyone considering this (ANY!) surgery is this: Choose your surgeon VERY CAREFULLY and make sure (if it's a bleph) that they measure your eyelids and do their due diligence BEFORE the surgery so that you know exactly what to expect and what you are supposed to end up looking like afterwards!
