I have always been a very thin girl and lack any breast tissue, so a lot of my clothes never looked as good. My main concern for surgery was always that they would look very fake since there would not be enough breast tissue on top to cover the implants. I even looked in to visiting South Korea to get the procedure since I researched that they would be more familiar with my body type.
Lucky, I found Doctor Epstein who understood my concerns. He stressed the most natural results and a tear drop implant. I am glad I found a surgeon who was in New York that could perform the surgery and a staff that is extremely professional and caring.
I went from a size AA to a full B with 210CC tear drop gummy implant. I think it is important to understand all the information and after care, and doctor Epstein explains all the information with detail and care. The surgery was quick and I was back to work the next day. Although, one day recovery was not my main concern for the surgery, but it was a very nice bonus. Additionally, this process decreases the need for revision significantly.

Hi! would you mind sharing how you are healing and feeling since your surgery. I am also a AA and during my consult Dr. Epstein said he recommends up to 240cc.

Hey! Sure, I think I got around 220cc and it has been 2 months and the healing has been great. The scar is relatively flat and the color is still pinkish but definitely healing. I would say the first month I felt tight on my chest, but I have been working out and getting back to being in the gym and that feeling has subsided completely. Another major concern is the loss of feel near the bottom of the breast, which many people don’t really talk about. I still don’t have full feeling return, but the nipples do have feeling. I will keep you updated if the feeling returns. Let me know what you are most concern with maybe I can help you more. I will upload some photos after my May appointment

one more question:) were the implants placed under or over the muscle?
February 4, 2018
They were placed under the muscle, and honestly there was no real pain I only took Tylenol for the first day. And for me I had little to no swelling at all and definitely no bruising. And otherwise the weight and tightness in the chest was the only real hassle. I did go back to work the next day since I have an office job but I would recommend maybe just have a day after the surgery for yourself just so your body can adjust. It was still hard to carry things over 10 lbs and opening heavy doors. But after a week that is almost fully back to normal. As for the gym I stayed away as for longer then recommend time just bc I felt like safer.

Hi! I have another question. I’m thinking of having the procedure done in June or July. I’m wondering if you were very swollen after surgery. Not sure if it’s a good time of year bc of summer clothing and having to deal with bathing suits, etc. thanks!

I think it depends on the person but I had very minimum swelling. I will be updating with photos soon maybe next week :)

Thank you! Do they look “natural” now? I’m concerned that with the rapid recovery they might look fake.

So glad to hear that you are healing and feeling great!! If you wouldn’t mind sharing pics after your appointment that would be great! one of my big concerns are pain/swelling and being able to go back to work, to the gym and still manage my daily activities with my kids. Thanks so much for sharing. This is so helpful!! :)

Yeah They don’t look any different then if there isn’t rapid recovery. I got the teardrop shape so the gummy implants are a bit harder so they don’t feel very natural but I think it has improved over the past 6 months.
