13 Weeks Post-Op
WORTH IT$5,200
Things are going well. Swelling seems to be decreasing. I still have pulling and tightness underneath my breasts. I've been massaging the scars to loosen up the tissue. Rarely getting the zingers of pain now. My new breasts are soft again and they feel natural. Still very happy!!!

12 Weeks Post Op
I'm now 12 weeks post op and feeling so good. I've been wearing my silicone scar treatment for over a month. My scars look really good. I still have some soreness and lots of zingers. So happy with my new girls!

Wow, they look great! What size bra are you now? Sorry if you've already posted it and I can't find it, but how many grams were removed?

Just had a bra sizing today at Nordstrom and I measure 34 DD. Thanks for your comment. I'm tickled pink with joy!

How's your neck doing. I had my C 6/7 artificial disc replacement in December and I have no more pain. I hope you're doing well too!

Wow, I hope mine come out as good as yours! They look like an 18 year old's boobs! Do you know how many grams were removed?

July 8, 2017
He removed 80g on right and 100g on left. He said that he mostly removed skin. Aging creates droopy skin LOL. Thank you for your compliment. I feel great!

You still have, IMHO, the best results on RealSelf! Your surgeon is a miracle worker. I showed my PS your photos and told her that you're my inspiration.

Aw, you're so sweet! My surgeon has been practicing for nearly 40 years. He's so awesome, caring and kind.

Rounding Out
It's been 9 weeks and 5 days. Surgeon says that my breasts will round out about this time in my recovery. My right side is rounding faster than my left. I'm still getting "zingers of pain" every now and then. My nipple color is not as pink as they were originally. I'm going to be patient and watch for changes. Next week I will see my surgeon again for follow up. How long do these "zingers" last?

Hi you're looking great. I'm 6 months post lift and my nipples are still much paler than prelift. I'm starting to think it's a permanent change. I thought I should tell you, all in all though I'm still 10 out of 10 happy that I chose the surgery.

Thank you for letting me know. I'm thrilled with my decision. I do hope they get a little smaller though.

I took your collage to my PS appt last Thurs. and told her this is EXACTLY what I want! She told me that she asked my insurer, BCBS, for approval of the reduction/lift based on removing approximately 500 gm from my right breast and about 485 gm from my left. If we deviate much,I could be faced with a $22k bill. I certainly don't want that, so I will trust her expertise. I believe I will end up a solid D cup (I am a 38 DDD), even with 500 gm removed.
I have to say, it will be an adjustment looking down and not seeing "the girls" prominently on my chest. It will also motivate me to lose 40 lbs that I've put on due to stress because it'll the weight will prominently be on display-no hiding beneath the girls!
Thank you for continuing to post photos so I know what likely to expect in my healing process. Your surgeon did a beautiful job!

I tried to go the insurance route but BCBS denied me. The first surgery consult with another surgeon didn't go well. He told me that I would need at least 400 grams removed and that would take away most of my volume. I'm glad it was denied because I was able to go back to my doctor and get exactly that I wanted. I paid cash $5200 and I used my favorite plastic surgeon that I used in the past for my eye lift. It all worked out for the best. Good luck to you!

Thank you for sharing this. I'm 6 days out and leftie is now as round as righty. Good to hear it's normal and I see your's resolved in the pics :)

I think the swelling has a lot to do with it. Scar tissue is hard so I've been massaging the scars per doctor's orders. Just remember each side will heal at it's own pace. Keep on resting and limit your arm use. Happy healing!

Thanks- indeed I have some serious bruising and I think they are pretty swollen. Did you find that yours decreased in size once swelling went down. Im feeling like mine are still a bit big right now which has me depressed. Hoping they will go down!
